Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: the contractor owes us $for materialsI will NOT sign any waiver there is no legal basis for that
This is a huge amount of unnecessary monkey businessThe contractor is just being difficult for no good reason and the money is still owed.Sincerely,*** ***
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The gutter contractor, Todd M[redacted] is clearly lying, arrangements WERE made to install supplied drip edge by my general contractor, Marc V[redacted].
I was not rude to gutter contractor, quite the opposite both he and his secretary he were rude and yelled at me. Basically called me a liar. We are still out the extra funds we had to spend to finish the job gutter contractor was supposed to do. The job was rescheduled multiple times, the delay caused water damage on our porch. The gutter contractor owes us that extra $130.Sincerely,[redacted]
December 28, 2016To whom it may concern:In response to Mr. [redacted] letter, there was never any arrangement or discussion in regards toperforming any drip edge/flashing work, whether by written proposal, invoice, email or verbalconversation. I have attached the proposal and invoice to confirm...
this.I did receive a call a couple of weeks after we completed the proposal work in which Mr. [redacted]stated we "needed to come back up and install drip edge/flashing." I informed him during thatconversation "it was not in our bid to install drip edge/flashing." At this point he got very agitated andproceeded to insult my staff and myself. I told him he "needed to contact his contractor or a roofer if hewants drip edge/flashing installed, as that is not a service we provide".As far as the senior discount, I did the bid through Mr. [redacted] contractor and thus gave him thecontractor pricing. It was never brought to my attention that he wanted a senior discount as well. Inthat scenario, I would have explained our policy to give either a contractor pricing or a senior discount, but not both.I can say with certainty that my guys never removed any new drip edge/flashing from the premises. They did haul away the old gutter and two pieces of old bent up flashing as instructed by Mr. [redacted].I have been in business for over 20 years with an impeccable record and reputation. I am always willingto take the higher ground and do what is right, however I refuse to be taken advantage of or work forfree.Sincerely,
Todd M[redacted]A-1 Quality Gutter Co.
#1 I was told this claim is closed. #2 I said if he felt we "took his flashing" I would reimburse him for the material he felt was taken, not for labor or other materials anybody else may have used for a job that was never proposed by our company. I will stick to my word and reimburse him $20 for the flashing as long as he signs a waiver that releases myself and my company from him ever contacting me or anybody else for that matter in regards to this project/claim.
