Review: My wife and I had a new roof and siding put on our home in May 2009. In December of this past year we noticed a lot of condensation building up in the attic and a musty smell was present when we were retrieving our Christmas decorations from our attic. On Sunday, Jan. 18th, 2015 my wife went up in the attic and noticed a green mildew present on all the roof rafters and attic sheathing. She called our contractor (A1 Quality Roofing and Siding, located in [redacted] NJ. Mr. [redacted]President) immediately on Monday, Jan. 19th. She left a message and no one from the company called her back. I placed two calls to the contractor on Monday, Jan. 19th and then again on Tuesday, Jan. 20th and left a message as well asking the contractor to please contact me. Today, Jan. 22nd the president of the company, [redacted], texted me that the business was no longer in business that it had gone out of business three years ago after Hurricane Sandy. He told me it "sounds like a condensation issue and that he wishes he could help me but his company is no longer in business." I looked up online and found that A1 Quality Roofing and Siding is still in business and that they simply relocated to [redacted] NJ. We have a warranty on the roof that protects us for 10 years due to workmanship problems, and 30 years on the shingles. Mr. [redacted] has no intent in helping us rectify this problem and I am now forced to have the mold cleaned from our attic and now hire another company to come and see why we are having troubles with condensation on a roof that is only 5 1/2 years old.Desired Settlement: We would like the mold cleaned from the attic and the contractor to fix the condensation issue in the attic, if it is just a condensation problem.

Review: Paid $17,000.00 for a full roof replacement and gutter replacement on my home in October 17, 2013.Since that time the gutters have fallen off my home.A month ago we began to experience heavy rain and leaking in multiple areas of my home- my living room, which had not had any leaking prior to replacing the roof now has sheetrock tape and paint peeling from the ceiling with damage to the sheet rock and water damage around a recessed light fixture. A family room on the opposite side of the house has an 8 foot long section of newly redone, post hurricaine Sandy damage tape line and paint bulging, water damage. My wife and I have called the contractor numerous times and left messages on machines. My home suffered flood damage in Hurricane Sandy and was just completely refinished, repaired and painted and is now being seriously damaged due to a brand new leaking roof and a contractor who has done shoddy work and is not responding to our calls.I have given my daughter's phone number and email for you to contact as I am elderly in frail health and feel I am being taken advantage of.Desired Settlement: REPAIRS ASAP
