Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2014/05/15) */ Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 9, 2014/05/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They are lying! I asked only for an oil change and the tires repaired or tubed, they returned to me what is suppose to be my old parts, I have a dual blade mower they replaced only one with a new one and the one they gave back to me I or my son can find nothing wrong with it! as for the tune up I did this myself before I put it up for winter storage, I have the air filter and spark plug as proof it needed no replacement, the filter is barely dusty! after years of dealing with arepair and it's different owners these owners are the worse, I was never asked or told to give them directions in writing! and since we are on the subject where is my signed authorization allowing them to do the other work they say they performed? they still insist that my home number is disconnected, the very same phone I call them from! and since I got it back from Arepair it is not running right at allit goes to stall on changing from reverse to forward it cuts the grass unevenly now, never did that before! these people are rip offs plain and simple! if they thought it was an unsafe mower they should have contacted me! my number is not and never was disconnected!!

Yes I can get my mother to ok itCan she call or does it have to be email? And where should she email?

Terrible experience. I called them again this time, since few years ago they repair my washer machine without any problem. This time, however, horrible experience. A technician came to repair the same washer, different problem and the guy didn't even cleaned the valve or did anything. Of course, the machine still has a red light blinking and for the second time they have me waiting for a technician to show up. Never came. I call and asked for a refund and the guy hung up on me!","neg-1

Review: A-1 repairs came to diagnose my mal-functioning wine refrigerator and the technician spent less than 5 minutes in my home. During that time he listened to my description of the what the unit was doing (not keeping cool, ice build up on the back wall and the fan running but not maintaining cool air) and told me the thermostat was broken. He did not turn the unit on (I had unplugged it) nor did he remove the lower access panel, turn the unit around or look for any other reason (s) for why the unit was malfunctioning. He took 3 other phone calls during the time he was in my kitchen. The charge for service was $75 and I was told I would receive a quote to replace and repair the thermostat later (which I did for $481.26). Concerned about the lack of time or attention put into the diagnosis, I called [redacted] customer service and was instructed by a technician that based on my description that the unit more likely had a refrigerent leak or blockage and that it may involve the compressor and/or evaporator but NOT the thermostat b/c the fan was blowing indicating the thermostat was indeed sending the signal to unit to turn on". Although A-1 was listed on the [redacted] site as an auth. dealer, their rec. was to go w/ another repair service. This time a service tech. from Mr. Appliance came out and spent a considerable amt. of time (over 40 min.) looking at the coils, the control panel (after turning the unit on) and letting it run for a while. He confirmed immediately it was NOT the thermostat saying the same thing that [redacted] said: with the fan running, it was clear the therm. was not broken and that it was one of two things: a leak or a blockage. I called A-1 the same day their tech had left explaining them what [redacted] had said and that I was concerned that the tech did not spend enough time assessing the unit properly. They told me their techs were experienced and often made determinations in 2-3 min. I was then placed on hold for 10m. before I finally hung up, never to hear from them again.Desired Settlement: I stopped payment at my bank for the $75.00 service check to A-1 repairs. That stop payment fee is $30. I would like to be reimbursed at best for the $30. Otherwise, I would like to have my complaint noted publicly b/c as I experienced, this operation is not geared towards responsible service nor are they willing to address a customer concern/complaint with courteousness or proper responsibility. I am concerned that this is not a reputable business.

Note: This is my SECOND attempt to file this compliant. My first was denied b/c Revdex.com said this this business was closed/unable to find. They are clearly listed with the SCC (State Corp. Commission of VA), and if you call the number: ###-###-####, they answer. They were in my home one week ago and are therefore an active business. Please review. Your site lists them as being affiliated with ALL BRANDS --perhaps a parent company but not how the SCC has them listed.

Review: I called A-1 Appliance to fix or replace my stove which completely stopped working. They came and told me the best course would be to replace the mother-board of my existing 15 year old stove for $400+. I paid them the full amount and they replaced the mother board, however the first time I tried to use the stove just after they completed installation and error light came on and it did not work. They returned and said they fixed it again, they also complained to me that they are not making any money on this job and left. As soon as they left again I turned on my stove and again, it did not work with the same error message. They told me I had electric problems in my kitchen and it wasn't their fault. An electrician came from another company ([redacted] ###-###-####) and did some electrical work at my house, but said that my electric problems had nothing to do with the failure of the stove. Doug's work was inspected by an inspector after he did his work. I called them and they kept telling me for weeks that the owner of the company would have to call me, which he never did. Finally Ben from A-1 Appliance told me I would have to pay another $400+ to return. My husband died in June this year and I am old and have health issues and have not been able to eat properly without a way to cook my food.Desired Settlement: At this point I want my money back so I can just buy a new stove. I am very frustrated and desperate. Please help me if you can
