since 1936 and we have never had a complaint before. In summary, this was an old unit that was brought partially disassembled by the customer and was with missing parts (which the customer never supplied). We did our best to try and help this customer out. Just to be clear we have only received S95 total and we have not been paid for our additional labor or parts and supplies that were used in the service of the snow blower and now we will incur additional costs for the disposal of the machine. This customer brought in his snow blower for service 11/4115, requesting a tune up, and for us to check out and repair the drive wheel and auger controls. The customer had previously tried to repair the controls himself and DID NOT bring us all the pieces he removed. The control was rigged with bailing wire.At the customer's request we ordered parts to attempt to repair the auger easy and a belt cover. When we recieved the parts from the manufacture we discovered that they sent the wrong parts for the auger assy, The manufacturer, Murray, had the wrong parts listed on their computer. Then they told us that the correct parts were now obsolete and no longer available. We notified the customer 11f18/15 at this point and suggested that we MIGHT be able to make something work on his unit and that it would involve a little more shop time, he agreed to pay for an additional 15 minutes of shop time to see if we could devise a way to make it safe and functional without the correct parts. We decided that it was not possible and advised the customer. We did request the customer pay for the tune up and and labor services we performed in trying to repair his unit. The fact that the parts needed were obsolete was something we had no knowledge of and could not anticipate. When I spoke with the customer on 11/23/15 I agree to settle the bill for far less than owed, we agreed to an additional S50 over the S95 tie had already paid. The customer agreed to this as a fair settlement, acknowledging that he had requested the work to be performed and that he had unsuccessfully tried to fix the auger assy and did not provide us with all the parts he removed. Then he refused to make the payment, saying that he would come in and pay cash. After 3 attempts to contact the customer to collect the 550 that he agreed to pay, we wrote it off as a bad debt. As to the 2nd hand story about the motorcycle repair, I have no idea what this relates to. Thank You [redacted] , as president
