A-1 Tree Service Reviews (7)

Wow, absolutely unsatisfied with their work. Planted grass and when it did not grow, we asked many times for them to come out and work with us on what went wrong. Many promises to come out with no shows. They then wouln't call us back and reschedule. Highly recommend not to use this company.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint id [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
the company about whom I instigated a complaint has since rectified the issue., how do I withdraw the complaint? thanks...

& please advise.[redacted]

Review: On Saturday, July 11th, A-1 offered to cut down a tree in our backyard for an agreed upon price of $300. They did not make it at the timeframe they originally estimated. We had plans for the evening and were needing to leave so I walked over to the other job site they were working to cancel. They stated they would still be able to complete and could leave a check with them and that if were not satisified we could always cancel the check. The next day when we went to look at the tree they were supposed to cut down we noticed they only cut a couple of limbs back and did not do what we agreed upon. In addition, they did not finish cleaning up after themselves which is pathetic given that we allowed them to throw the brush/limbs over our fence a few feet away. There were limbs and brush all over our yard. Further, there is an outdoor shed under that tree which now has two dents in the roof that were not there before they cut the limbs on the tree. I'm shocked that they would be so negligent to someone's property. They took advantage of us not being home to review there work before leaving. We promptly cancelled the check as they did not perform the job that was agreed upon, failed to clean up after themselves and damaged our property. We left a message for them and did not receive a return call. We finally got a call from them today, July 16th, because they realized the check was cancelled. Now they are demanding their $300 in addition to a bank fee for the check.Desired Settlement: We will not pay for an incomplete/incompetent job and want our outdoor shed repaired/replaced.

Review: The job agreed upon and contracted was to remove a large oak in our front yard and cut up the wood into manageable firewood. This tree service was late for two consecutive days and requested draws even though the contract specifically stated pay upon completion. They left huge piles of tree debris in front that were too large for the city to pick up (which was in conflict with the contract). They also left huge chunks of wood scattered all over our front yard after agreeing to "neat piles". We contacted Brian Y[redacted] (the owner) who first stated he would clean up the tree debris but got defensive and abusive when we questioned the large chunks of wood all over the yard. He then refused to correct the problems and became abusive.Desired Settlement: Would like to have all of the tree debris removed.

We had Greg at A-1 Tree Service come out to our home to give us an estimate on tree work. We had an oak tree that desperately needed trimmed up and some fertilizer injections, as well as a pine tree that needed removed because it was dead. After 3 weeks of trying to get the company over to our home to do the work, the office said that they would be here that day. We told them that we had furniture, etc. that we needed to move, and could we actually schedule something instead. The office was insistent that they'd be here that day, and the furniture wouldn't be an issue. This was on a Friday. We came home from work to find our entire front yard (and part of our neighbor's) littered with tree limbs, brush, etc. There was no call from the office to explain the situation and no note left either. We called the first thing Saturday morning, left a message on an answering machine and heard nothing back.Greg and 3 other workers showed up to do the clean-up and finish the work they had quoted us. For the most part, they fulfilled what they had quoted us, however, there are still plenty of dead limbs left in our oak tree. While doing their clean-up, apparently they decided to blow our leaves, along with debris from the trees into our neighbor's yard. Our neighbor saw what they were doing and came outside to question why they were blowing their mess into his yard. Apparently, Greg was upset that our neighbor questioned him, so he got up in our neighbor's face cursing at him, and pushed him, almost knocking our 60 year old neighbor onto the ground. THEN, a tall, thin man working with Greg came up with a refillable plastic coffee mug and hit my neighbor in his face with the mug. This "tree professional" literally broke his mug against our neighbor's face. Our neighbor said he was going to call the police and the crew immediately took off.I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND DEEPLY REGRET HAVING HIRED A-1 TREE SERV
