A-1 Vacuum and Janitorial Supply in Kalispell is a rip-off. I was quoted a fee of $42 for the repair of my vacuum cleaner. I had to ask for the estimate in writing, which they provided. I specifically told them not to exceed that figure without getting my authorization. When I went to pick up the vacuum, I was handed a bill for $72. The owner of the store claimed that there had been additional work done and parts replaced. He showed me a damaged power cord which was not the one from my machine. I refused to pay the extra money, so he took my vacuum cleaner and threatened to disassemble it and give me back the pieces. Fortunately, his own impatience and unwillingness to actually take the vacuum cleaner apart at that point made him decide to let me pay the quoted price and take my vacuum cleaner away.
