Hired A1VIP to install new baseboard radiator , where the old units were located, in ALL of my house and to repair existing boiler. Paid for the materials directly to supplier.

Originally was quoted an hourly rate by the owner however on the 1st day he showed up he had a contract with a lump sum written on it. I did agree to the price ($2600) and we discussed that it included the whole house except the kitchen and bath panel.

I wrote him a check for the total. He worked for a couple days and then realized he had not included the materials for the semi finished basement. I told him since he was coming back at a later date to complete the kitchen (had to put the new floor in first) he could finish it then. He came back at a later date and installed the basement then demanded $2400 additional. I did not return his call over the weekend. When I spoke to him that Monday [redacted] changed his price to $800. I reminded him that I had paid him and I still did not have a working system. He said the system was set to go just turn the thermostat up. He was going to come out that day and complete the kitchen panel (I would owe him the deduct of $200 for this work) A few hours later one of his employees called and started yelling at me! Never heard any response from [redacted] and he never showed up to complete the work. When I did turn the system on it leaked all over the house and my newly refinished floors. I called in a specialist and contractor who said he should have performed an air leak test and tried the system before telling me it was set to go
