Complainant hired my company to install tile in her bathroomThe contractor who started the job had been released for a reason that wasn't shared with meComplainant refused to send the deposit required on my bid form in advanceShe
promised several times but never didShe also moved the start date twice which cost me an entire week of workAfter working the first morning I insisted she pay the deposit which she didI completed setting the tile that afternoon (except under the vanity because she hadn't purchased enough tile)While we were at lunch the first day the customer walked all over the floor (after being told not too)When I returned from lunch she began to complain about how a number of the tiles were setI told her I could tell by the state of the floor that she'd walked all over itThere was no way to correct the damage as the customer hadn't bought the amount of tile I'd told her to (she said she wanted to save costs so bought nothing to cover waste)When I told her that she began to complain that it was my fault the tile wasn't acceptableI tried explaining several times that she had unseated the tiles by walking on them (several even had mortar sticking up showing how they'd been smashed on one corner or another)She refused to listenI told her I did not believe I would be able to make her happy and was going to leave at that pointThe only part of the job remaining is for the floor to be groutedComplainant only paid me 1/of the total bid which does not even cover the work and materials that were completed
