Complaint [redacted] Prior insured has been refunded all unused premium Insured requested on November 28th that the home policy be cancelled as of November 29th Policy was cancelled and a refund check of $was mailed to the insured on November 29th The $represents all unused premium Insured had previously selected that the mortgage company be billed for all premium payments The mortgage company was billed the renewal premium and subsequently paid the premium The insured was sent a copy of this billing There was an amendment effective in June removing discounts that the insured no longer qualified for Mortgage company was billed for the amendment and paid the premium Insured was again sent a copy of the statement It is the companies business practice to refund all unused premium to the insured If the insured feels that the refund check of $needs to be applied to his escrow he should be able to send a check to the mortgage company If for some reason this refund has not been received please let us know and we will provide a replacement check

I am rejecting this response because: The $was owed to me and was not the cause for the complaint in the first placeWhen I cancelled my car insurance with AAA, I asked twice if my homeowners insurance would show an increase because of the lack of a multi-policy discountThey told me not once, but twice, that I would not see an increase until my policy was up for renewal in decemberWhen I started looking around for a different insurance provider in december
I had realized that AAA charged my escrow $more in June for not having a multi-policy discountI never recieved any letters in the mail nor anywhere else from AAA that notified me of this charge, and I see it unfair and completely unprofessional of AAA to have charged me this money without any notice, especially since I specifically asked if I was going to be charged more and was told I wasn't.

unused premium.  Insured had previously selected that the mortgage company be billed for all premium payments.  The mortgage company was billed the renewal premium and subsequently paid the premium.  The insured was sent a copy of this billing.  There was an amendment effective in June removing discounts that the insured no longer qualified for.  Mortgage company was billed for the amendment and paid the premium.  Insured was again sent a copy of the statement.  It is the companies business practice to refund all unused premium to the insured.  If the insured feels that the refund check of $99.00 needs to be applied to his escrow he should be able to send a check to the mortgage company.  If for some reason this refund has not been received please let us know and we will provide a replacement check.
