Review: On 5/15/14 I hired [redacted]'s Tree Service to trim three palm tree, a giant bird of paradise, a podcarpus tree, and a few other trees. He said the job was done so I paid him $450 cash as verbally agreed. The next day I discovered that he left onsite most of the branches from the podocarpus, which was a lot of debris. of the large amount of debris, an otherwise seemingly healthy palm frond broke and was left hanging, and he didn't trim the bird of paradise as promised. In addition, he did not secure the gate to my yard and so upon my return home that evening my two dogs later had escaped, with one not being found until two days later at the animal shelter. He knew I had dogs that needed securing in the yard. I had to pay to retrieve my dog, and I have since had the debrs removed from the yard and hauled away. I contacted the owner, [redacted] 5 times by phone, either leaving messages or talking to him directly. Each time I spoke to him he promised to come to the house to remove the debris, cut the palm frond, and trim the bird of paradise. On 6/2/14, the last time I had a civil conversation with him, he said he would come out that day. He never showed up. So today I wrote a review on Yelp of my experience with him. I then left him a voice message and told him the content of the review, which essentially what I have written above. He called my back a half hour later and yelled and spoke belligerently and with horrible profanity towards me, and threatened to sue me, though on what grounds I have no idea.iDesired Settlement: I am requesting $100 in cash to cover my costs for having the debris removed and having the palm and bird of paradise trimmed. He is not to enter my property.

Johns Tree Service: If there is anything known as Professional Integrity he certainly is lacking in it. Initially it took several phone calls and no-shows till he finally sent his crew on 12/10/11 to cut down the tree in my front yard, putting off the grinding down of the stump till the next day. He came the next day, which was Sunday morning, at a time I was gone to Church and when I returned I saw the entire patch covered with mulch. He came on Monday evening and told me that the stump was removed and took the money (full payment in cash) for the job. Two days later when we removed the mulch to the backyard so we could put down lawn grass in the area, we saw the stump sticking out. He had covered up the stump and all the ground around it with mulch so the stump was not visible. I called him the next day and told him the stump was still there and he said that he will take care of it. I asked when, and he said he will call me back and hung up abruptly. I called back the next day and the next and he said it will be done first week in the New Year. Well, after the holidays I called back and I got the same response, I have a big job tomorrow. Ill call you back and he hung up abruptly. He never did call back and every time I called I got the machine. I left several messages, which have been totally ignored. He has taken all the money and the job is left incomplete. I am now filing this complaint because I have no faith left in this company as I have concluded that he has no intention of completing the job. I will appreciate any help in this matter. [redacted]
