A A A Septic Services

My wife and I bought a used home in Kalama in 2011 and discovered during our septic inspection that the system was failing. AAA was the contractor selected by the Seller to replace the failing septic system. Because the Seller paid for the repair, we did not choose who was hired to install the new system- we only got to stipulate that the contractor had to be licensed. Unfortunately, the state doesn't do much in the way of ensuring licenses are handed out to only competent professionals. I can only assume AAA was ultimately selected for the repair of our system due to their pricing. However, the validity of the old adage "you get what you pay for" was definitely proven! Not only did the owner ([redacted]) lie to me on multiple occasions about when the project would be completed, he also installed a system he wasn't certified to deal with in the first place. The project was routinely delayed for one reason or another - all of which at first seemed legit. However, once I began asking the right questions I ultimately found out that he was not licensed to install the specialized system that the county had required be installed. Work had halted because [redacted] had had to drive to Tacoma for two days to take a course and receive his certification so that the health department would sign off on the work once finished. Needless to say, I was furious. I again began asking questions and demanding answers. Instead of explanations, [redacted] unleashed his fury on me and my wife, using foul language and threats. One of which was that he would never return to the property after the system was in place to perform the annual maintenance (which was included as a part of the contract). He indeed never returned - even after I made contact with the company 1 and 2 years later to follow up. My calls were ignored. However, that was probably for the best, as I imagine his unprofessional and juvenile behavior likely would have translated into mysterious and expensive issues with my septic system! Beyond the BS with his certifications and ridiculousness... there was also PLENTY of sub-par work going on. Beautiful landscaping, sprinkler systems, and flower beds were destroyed by inept large equipment operators. Things that could have been saved were instead ripped out and discarded. Every evening when AAA left the property, I had to jump down into hole where the new tank was being located to pick up their trash (cigarette packages, soda cans, PVC trimmings, plastic wrap, etc). The riser lids were installed terribly and, as such, have wreaked havoc on my riding lawn mower blades. I'm sure I'm missing a plethora of other facts and complaints about my interaction with[redacted] and/or experience with AAA Septic Services, but hopefully what I HAVE recalled is enough to save the next poor sap that decides to save a few bucks by hiring these knuckle heads
