Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/01/30) */
On 11-28-We got the call from Mr***, in regards to the apparent failure of the transmission for his Acura MDX, transmission that we installed on the last week of October At this point we let Mr*** know that any warranty
issues were going to be carried out by LKQThis rebuilt transmission has a year parts and labor warrantyUnfortunately this incident happened on Thanksgiving weekend, so LKQ could not be contacted by us or by Mr*** until the next business day which was 11-02-We contacted LKQ on Monday morning and informed them of the possible failureWe provided them with contact information for Duncan'sWhen LKQ contacted Duncan, the tech in charged of the inspection of the MDX was not available until the following dayMeanwhile Mr*** authorized the flush of the transmission under the recommendation of Duncan, and picked up his vehicle from the shop11-03-Mr*** informed us of the decision he took without giving a chance for LKQ to decide on the warranty coverageAt this time we informed Mr*** that without the vehicle still at the shop and a proper claim filed there was not much A&A could do for himWe still tried to see if LKQ could do anything for them but without the protocol being followed, every bodies hands were tidedThere was also no apparent failure with the transmission and Duncan was not able to duplicate the problemTo make every warranty effective we install a transmission oil cooler on every transmissionLKQ provides the oil and seals with the every re-built transmissionWe Installed and used everything they provided for this particular vehicleMr***'s vehicle still has a warranty for the reminder of the three years, unlimited mileage, as long as protocol is followed and schedule maintenance of the unit is done, as well as in the event of failure take every precautionary measure to prevent further damageLike pulling over and having the vehicle towed at the first sign of failureIn addition the sales rep (*** ***) at LKQ informed us that when he spoke to Duncan's tech he stated that the ***'s came in requesting the flush
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/02/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
LQK informed me that the warranty claim was refused due to the nature of the failure not the fact that I ok'd the flush before LQK had time to decide on warranty coverageLQK believes the overheating and ultimate failure of the transmission and the fact that the process could not be recreated by *** (after all parts were plugged and replugged)leads them to believe the issues possibly came form the aftermarket parts (installed a transmission oil cooler) or installation by A&A All pro was the issue not the transmission itselfAll we are looking for is to recoup the money we spent on flushing and refilling the transmission $We will eat the additional costs of rental car, added gas, time off work, etc($200+)

My husband and I have been using this company almost exclusively for our aut repairs for 10 years now. The only time we were disappointed, [redacted] told us to take the truck to a near-by repair shop to repair what had gone bad (we were 75 miles away with a vehicle that was in real trouble). We then submitted the other shop's bill to [redacted], and he paid that bill in full. We were very impressed. We own 3 vehicles, each with over 100,000 miles, and A&A keeps them all running perfectly. Thanks guys!

We were on our way home to Canada when our car quit on freeway I 5. We were towed to this shop and I am sure glad they did. As the diagnose problem turned out to be a burnt alternator. The mechanic said the engine oil cover had leaked into the alternator burning out a diode. They assured me as it was after 3 they would stay and complete to change over. they never quit until it was finished and tested out. When I got home I received a recall letter from Hyundai to bring in the car to have the alternator checked out and the oil cover gasket changed, just as the mechanic explained to me. Thanks again for the professional service....I would recommend this business to anyone.....[redacted]
