informed him as the owner of Reds Wrecker that it will be $dollars for the tow and $dollars for the storageHe was yelling and screaming at us about the charges but I said there is nothing I could do since these prices are standard throughout the towing industry and regulated by the police departmentAfter hanging up he came to the shop and was again yelling but he eventually paid the money to get it outHe then was in the back and his vehicle didn’t startSince it was already late I told him to come back tomorrow with a mechanic and I will not charge him any storage for that nightThe next day he came back and the mechanic basically said he cant do anything with it and it needs to be towed. That’s when this entire thing startedI told him to *** it usually runs dollars but since he is already having such a rough time it will be $dollarsHe was cussing and telling me I am ripping him off but its more than miles towing this vehicle and coming back its more than reasonableAnyone else would have charged him much more for itHe then refused and said another towing company will comeMy dispatcher said that’s fine but the shop will be closed he just needs to call ahead and our driver who only lives two minutes away on *** Street can open the gate for himHe yelled and cussed again and saying what kind of company we are. It turned out the tow company that he hired was also way to expensive for him and cancelled itHe than called us again in the evening where I Melanie S*** the owner had the phones and I told him if he doesn’t have the money to pay for the tow use your Roadside assistance and then you can get your vehicle towedHe preceded to do that but when the insurance company called us to give us the tow since we are contracted with them it turned out he was only covered for $dollars and had a out of pocket expenseI told him how much and he was yelling and cussing again where I just told him ok we will just tow it to your house and be done with it for what he was covered forWe as a company went through loops to help this customer and that’s what we get for helping himIf we would have done it by the book he would have paid more than $dollars to get his vehicle but because I was nice he only had to pay $dollars and the $dollars his insurance paidI was able to pay my driver but that’s itWith gas and the truck expense to go so far the company made nothing
