I am rejecting this response because: It contains information, is not factually accurate and does not address all of my complaints. I am providing this response: It was no surprise that the response to my original complaint was late because the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior and the past behavior of the contractor is replete with late responses; e.g., I paid the contractor $in full on May 15, and called him immediately after the first rain after that date to report the un-repaired roof leak. The contractor took until the middle of June to respond by telephone to report that "I have not forgotten about you". He then showed up at my door (unannounced) in early July to talk about the leak.First, I fully stand behind everything I included in my initial complaint.Second, as I talked with the contractor at the impromptu July meeting, I told him that I had taken pictures of the situation with my cell phone and that the pictures automatically place a date and time stamp on the photos. These photos document and support my assertions. I still have these photos. I categorically deny ever cursing at the contractor or telling him to get off of my propertyThird, I did in fact purchase, cut to size and install metal gutter guards on all of my gutters on my ranch house in mid-JuneTo assert otherwise flies in the face of the evidence...the gutter guards were fully in place at the July visit from the contractor and I had installed them. I own five ladders of various sizes ranging from a three-foot painting platform to a 24-foot extension ladder. I regularly use all of these ladders. I am and remain capable and comfortable working on a ladder at my home. I used these ladders to personally install the gutter guards. Fourth, I had my annual physical exam in mid-June and was given a clean bill of healthThe contractors' claim of my having recently undergone major surgery rendering my incapable of conducting the gutter guard work is not only inaccurate, but not supported by evidence to the contrary. I have never had major surgery on any part of my body, including my heart. Finally, the unsupported ramblings and strange assertions contained in the contractor's response do more to support my complaint and undermine his response than most anything I can imagine. The response of the contractor wanders into "fairy tale land" rather than addressing the several I issues cited in his substandard work. This contractor has done nothing to address the problems of his making and I remain a very dissatisfied customer I wanted to expose this shoddy practitioner and I am confident that I have done so

First, I apologize to *** and the Revdex.com, for not responding to Mr***'s complaint sooner, than this I have read Mr***'s complaint, and I have discovered factual error's Mr***, has included in his complaintThey are as follow's with my response to this situation:I did
complete the work Mr*** contracted me for, and additional work Mr*** requested on my part on May I did not call Mr*** on May 20th for additional work Mr*** called me sometime (the date I can not be sure of) later, after all the work he wanted me to do for him was completed Mr*** at "that" time, informed me his gutter's leaked over, or at his patio door's location I apologized for that, and informed him I would be out, and take care of this for himMr*** state's in his complaint "in early June I decided to install new metal gutter guards on all gutters." "As I decided to install new metal gutter guards on all gutters, " "As I began installation, I discovered that about 1/of the gutters were never cleaned (completely full Areas not cleaned were the harder to access locations. My response is: Mr***s statement I did not complete/entirely the cleaning, anything and everything, from his gutters I deny Mr***s complaint that his gutters were not cleaned entirely, by the people who helped me perform all the work I was contracted to perform for Mr***His gutters were cleaned entirely, before I collected the balance I was due, per our mutual contract, and verbal agreements, for additional work not included in our mutual contractWhen I requested my final payment from Mr***, I was prepared: per his request to have Mr*** inspect, any or all of the work I was contracted to perform, as well as work he and I verbally agreed to Prior to that time, I felt Mr***s work, and integrity were such that he could be trusted, on those termsHow wrong I was, in that assumptionPer Mr***s complaint: In early June, I decided to install new metal gutter fuards on all guttersAs I began installation, I discovered that about 1/of the gutters were never cleaned (completely full, Areas not cleaned were: and etc etc per Mr***s complaint. My response is: As we all know June of this year was a month, where we received (close to if not in fact) record rainfall for that month With my past encounter I had with Mr***, I noticed he had major surgery, which may or may not have been major heart surgeryMr*** had what looked to me to be, the remnants of his surgery with some sort of a medical devise, that was attached to his inner thigh. With the rain central Ohio received in June of this year, not even taking into account the heart surgery Mr*** apparently went through It is very unlikely (in my opinion) Mr*** did not do the following, during June of this year:(a) cleaned 1/of his gutter's out as he states (because I did not clean them as I promised) and:(b) Installed metal gutter guards all by himself (c) Mr*** by himself, could not have possibly performed all this work, this past June Mr*** would have had to use a ladder, and go up and down that ladder to clean out his own gutters himself Bag everything he says he took out of his gutters', and get rid of it THEN Mr*** would have had to pick up, and deliver all the gutter guards he says he installed THEN MR*** would have had to go up and down his ladder, around his entire home, to install all the metal gutter guards, he says he installed himself NEVER HAPPENED, by *** ***Per my last visit to Mr***s home:Upon entering Mr***s home I first: apologized to Mr*** for not getting back to him sooner, to see what needed to be done to address his complaints, regarding my work, per our original agreements After that occurrence, I heard Mr*** shouting obscenities at me, about me not doing what I was paid to do, He informed me I didn't clean all his gutters, and I told him at that time that I did clean all his gutters I also informed Mr.*** at that time (as I had previously, He needed to get his trees trimmed, by professional tree peopleIf they were as full as he told me they were, which I now state: they were not. Next: I told Mr*** to cool it, show me where the rain is coming down behind your gutter, or I'm leaving At that time I told Mr*** that due to the sloap of his roof, and rain is coming from his roof, and probably going over his gutter's, causing this situation That is why he has this problem I told Mr***, I would come back in a day or two, and attempt to fix this problem for him He told me forget it, I don't want you working here anymore I want $50, and you can walk away from me, and I will never have you back, or recommend you to anyone else I said NO, but I'll give you $10, if you want to be this wayHe said, NO I want $I said how about $5? cause that's all I'll give you? He told me to get off his property, and this isn't the end of this You'll be very sorry. In closing I thank the Revdex.com for their part in attempting to resolve this matter.Ron S*A&A Handymen

This man agreed to repair wood rot on two exterior doors. He said he was an independent contractor, but the next day brought someone with him. They repaired the door sills and began painting. They removed the storm door of the second door and tried to make an adjustment so it closed more easily, although this was not what I called them for. They tried to leave with a check in hand. I objected, since some areas had not been painted yet. The paint which I supplied from a recent paint job was then applied incorrectly, using the wrong color for the area. Tan paint was smeared on the newly painted red door. They tried to remove the paint, removing the original red, and then painted over that. I was told to leave the storm door open for the paint to dry. This morning I discover that the rotted wood in the other side of the door frame had not been touched. Also, the storm door closure is applied incorrectly and the door cannot close. I called him today and he volunteered to return by Monday to correct it. However, due to the shoddy workmanship and dishonesty I sense from him I told him I do not want him to return to my house. I am hiring another person to correct these issues.
