A A Mower & Snow Plowing, Inc.

A) [redacted] quoted a repair price of $135.00 for the; 1) pickup & delivery of ourTroybilt snowthrower; 2) tune-up for snowthrower; 3) replacement of auger belt & 4) replacement of self-propel belt. B) His employee "[redacted]" quoted a turn around time of a "couple of days" when they picked up the snowthrower on 12.19.11. On 12.30.11 we called to express concern about not hearing from the business. D) Mr. [redacted] returned the call on 12.30.11 & communicated one of the belts had to be ordered & he would call when it is ready. E) Mr. [redacted] called on 12.31.11 & left a message the repair was completed. We were out of town for the Holiday weekend. F) We contacted AA Mower to arrange to have the snowthrower delivered on 1/2/12, without us being at the location, due to an imminent winter storm forecast for the area. We spoke with [redacted] who communicated the business only accepted cash & the repair price was $177.00. We expressed concern about the difference in price from what we were initially quoted. [redacted] communicated Mr. [redacted] would not release the snowthrower unless paid $177.00. G) We requested a detailed receipt be delivered along with the snowthrower & [redacted] responded that it would be. We communicated to [redacted] that we arranged to have our $177.00 payment left in the rear of the property, behind a security gate. Our video surveillance showed [redacted], with a helper, delivered the snowthrower to the service address, [redacted], Cleveland, Ohio 44144. The video showed the helper started the snowthrower but was unable to engage the self propel to drive it up the steep driveway hill & deliver it to the rear of the property. The video showed the two men picked up the snowthrower, carried it up the hill & placed it in the rear of the property. Later we determined the self propel & the auger did not work correctly & the receipt was not left. We spoke with Mr. [redacted] about the issues. He said there would be more charges & refused to provide the detailed receipt for the repair work he quoted.
