DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE ANYTHING! They are horrible. They quoted me one price and their drivers charged me another price and told me if I don't pay they will lock the truck w/ all my stuff in it. They were slow/lazy and rude. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!

Review: We hired Aardvark to move us to our new home, they didnt bring the equipment we requested for the move. Resulting is us calling to inquire about the wrong truck being brought to the house. We were assured that what was brought would be able to move our stuff. By my husband calling the office it seemed to upset the crew. My husband told them we just wanted it done in 1 trip. They didnt bubble wrap any of our furniture, just loaded it all in the truck. Which caused scratches in my antique china cabinet that belong to my great grandmother. We had them bring furniture in the house and asked them to stack the boxes in the garage, they tossed the boxes in the garage which caused several glass pieces to be broken. The crew continued to complain through the whole move and the head gentlemen seemed to have issues with his crotch and sweat pants. We continually had to witness him scratching and adjusting himself, which made my grandmother uncomfortable. I called Aardvark to complain about the whole horrible experience, was told that someone would call me back. [redacted] called me the next day. He was rude, continued to tell me that hes never had any complaints about this gentleman or crew. That this gentleman was the sweetest man and had been there for 5yrs. Then proceeds to tell me that he had talke d to the crew before he called me and that they state they stacked my boxes nicely in the garage, that my antique cabinet was trashed and that they didnt damage anything. Stated that he believed his crew and not us. Asked why they didnt wrap our furniture and was told that we wanted the move done fast. So basically fast means damaged furniture and not wrapping anything. [redacted] then proceeds to tell me that the wrap wouldnt have protected my cabinet from damage. They moved all my furniture without blankets to protect it on the dolley. [redacted] asked me to email him pictures of the damage, which we did and he stated that he was going to talk to his crew about all my complaints and he woujld get back to me which hasnt happened. He also stated that he could send a guy out to fix the issues on my cabinet but he was sure that I wasnt going to want someone to touch it so how about he just give me the $100 that it cost him to send the guy out and we be done with this issue since his crew states my cabinet was trashed before and they didnt do any damage. Nope sorry thats not good enough to me. I dont appreciate being talk down to or like Im stupid. As he stated hes been in this buisness for along time, then he should know that they should wrap and protect furniture. I will never use this company or refer to anyone. They also tried to say that we had 150 moving boxes, we actually had 77, I planned ahead for this move, all boxes were in the garage at old house and all they had to do was bring the furniture out. Weve moved several times in my life time and never had movers complain about doing a job. Also never had them continuosly stop and stand around. Really discouraging when your paying by the hour. [redacted] stated well the crew said you were happy with them you gave them a nice tip, no we didnt tip them.Desired Settlement: We feel that compensation should be made for not just my cabinet being damaged but for the whole move in general. They didnt wrap our furniture, which it clearly states in there ad and when you call to set it up.

Response:

It's been very difficult to think about responding to this complaint. I've been thinking for the last 2 weeks about how to go about this. Part of me wants to just refund the entire amount of the move and forget about it, however I've come to the realization that this would not be the right decision as it would send the entirely wrong message to [redacted].

[redacted] has clearly come up with a very in depth complaint, hitting on all aspects of moving. The problem with the complaint is that what she is saying is either not true, half true, over exaggerated, or extremely slanted to suit the idea of complaining. I am not at all who she portrays me to be and feel very, very disrespected by it. [redacted] clearly has no respect for me, my company and my crew who worked hard to get her job done on a budget. Its unfortunate for me to dissatisfy even one client, but I understand that sometimes it's just out of my hands. I would like to spare anyone reading this the back and forth of addressing each issue in [redacted]'s complaint. Instead, I will leave you with this: Aardvark Movers moves, on a consistent basis, about 175 families every month. In the last three years on the Revdex.com we have had two complaints and this is one of them.

It's unfortunate that some may read her complaint and be steered in the wrong direction, possibly into the hands of someone who will take advantage of them. I hope [redacted] has considered this as a real outcome. I ask that anyone reading her complaint to read it carefully. Compare our Revdex.com file with that of our competition and make a decision based on how you feel about it and what your belief is.

[redacted], the total move price that you paid was $642.00. It cost me $526.44 to complete your move, leaving a profit margin of $115.56. Even though we are at odds with your statements, I don't want to make a nickel from your move. I will refund to you the profit margin of $115.56. Please understand that I do not feel responsible for paying for your move. I am sincerely sorry that you were not satisfied with the service that you received. I have taken your complaint into consideration and I will try to learn from it as best I can.

Take care.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

Somehow [redacted] has now made this about himself. If it makes you feel better to slam me then fine. I put in this complaint pretty much word for word from our conversation when I called about my damaged cabinet. This move was a horrible experience and we've used the company in the past and love it thats why we used them again. You stated that I have no respect for you, your company or your crew, that is untrue. But how much respect are you showing a client when there is damage to furniture and stuff is boxes broken due to your crew's actions. The day I called you on the phone you clearly had no respect for me or what I was calling about. I have no reason to write a complaint with as you put it full of untrue, half truth or over exaggerated or extremely slanted truth. Plain and simple truth is your crew didn't protect my furniture during this move, throwing boxes and complained through the whole move. I cant make this up nor would I. What kind of message would I be sending to you [redacted] if I accepted $115.56? Its costing me more than that to fix my china cabinet and replace what was broken during this move. I hope anyone that does read this thinks before they hire you so yes I have considered the outcome.

I was very impressed with the hard work and amount of care that the crew leader [redacted] and his partner took moving all of our furniture. I was moving in with my girlfriend and we both were moving out of a third story apartment and moving into a third story apartment. [redacted] was very interactive with me in moving our furniture letting us know how he planned on getting it down the three flights of stairs and promised he wouldn't do anything that made me uncomfortable. I was very happy with the service.
