Re: Revdex.com case # [redacted]
[redacted].
Tomball, TX. [redacted]
The customer was called on the day we received notification from the Revdex.com of the complaint. [redacted] met Mr. Peterson, as agreed, on the following Saturday and was able to go
over his system with...

him. At that time, Mr. [redacted] explained there was something
leaking in the house. The customer then stated he had a leaking toilet which was supposed to
have been fixed. A Advanced Septic replaced two float switches that day. A Advanced Septic
came back the following Thursday and replaced two more float swithes. At that
time there was still a leaking toilet. All these things were done without cost
to him at all. The customer stated he would send the Revdex.com a notification that everything
was acceptable. Mr. [redacted] also checked back with the customer on Easter Sunday. The customer stated
everything was fine with his system and that he was trying to get to church. I don't know what
else I can do.

This
air pump is 12 years old. As with any mechanical device, it wears with age. The
air pump is a linear type pump which has been rebuilt before. The average life
span of this pump is approximatly 9 years. There is a armature in the center of
it which is constantly moving back and forth...

between the two coils. This is
happening at the rate of 120 times a minute. As with any mechanical device
after it is worn so much, it is not worth the cost of the repairs.
The
homeowner called complaining of the noise. I am required, according to the
contract, to respond to his calls within 48 hours, which we did. This service
call is not covered under the contract. Our normal service call is $75.00,
which is what he was charged. I did take the pump apart during the service call
to insure the noise insulating material was in place, & to check the pump
was putting out enough pressure. The armature in the air pump will break in a
short time from now. At that point the homeowner will have no choice but to buy
a new pump. There is NO warranty on the used equipment or work performed on
used equipment. I tried to explain this to the homeowner, but he could only
yell, scream, and continue to raise his voice. In the end he was throwing
things at me.
I
would deduct the price of his rebuilding of the pump if it is still working. I
would also not charge him the service call which he now owes $75.00 for, if he
bought a new pump. The price of a new pump would be $600.00, minus the $275.00 for the
trade in of his pump, which brings his cost to $325.00. I would warranty the new pump
for one year, as long as there is a maintenance contract in effect with A
Advanced Septic.
I
tried to explain all this to him Saturday, but he was unwilling to listen.
