The complaint is number: ***The customer in question is mostly correct but leaves out critical details My service tech did go out to see his washer, but he was not told that it was stacked with a dryer He did not want to return another time with a second person so he
attempted to repair through a fairly large access panel in the rear of the washer Many repairs are done safely and effectively this way He diagnosed the problem but the customer seemed suspicious In trying to get the part, found defective, out of the washer, it broke Mind you it was a defective part so care was not a large concern He assumed he would be replacing it when the new one was ordered The customer took offense at this situation, again always with the suspicious concern that something was awry My technician in an attempt to smooth over the situation did talk about many things including his boat that was for sale This was simply a way to win over an obviously contentious customer.To bring to a summary; my tech did not even want to go back I offered to go with NO charge to assess the situation at about 7:at night I agreed with the customer that I could probably get the part less than my technician quoted But I failed to do so as I was busy getting ready for a trip It did slip my mind When I returned to town, the customer was even more agitated and even more contentious At this point I recommended that he seek another service company He has paid $total for the visits and the problem was diagnosed correctly I would consider completing the service call for a reasonable fee Not a reduced fee but one that is reasonable to all parties.Thanks you.*** ***, OwnerA&B Family AppliancesKingstown RdWakefield, RI 02879###-###-####

The boat conversation only started after he received the callHe tried to tell me I might be better off just buying a new washer by the time it was doneI ordered the oem part for about dollars less than he quotedHe left me with a messNo direction to move inWouldn't any consumer be leary? *** I feel your tech is not being truthful with youMy beef is with him not youI feel bad about that but you should consider it.The washer has been repairedI paid the new tech Being handicapped made it moredifficult of a situationAt this point with your tech basically being dishonest in his interpretation I feel it a waste of time to continue. I feel a refund of $is appropriateHowever I know I will have to go to small claims court to probably get any compensation.
