A-Apex Reviews (1)
I recently purchased a house that had a home warranty attached by the sellers ([redacted] herein referred to as HWA). The ice-maker (covered under the warranty) of the refridgerator stopped working and I filed a claim with the warranty company. I was then forwarded the service provider (A Apex Appliances) by HWA to complete the repair. The service technician ([redacted]) showed up and said the the problem was not with the ice-maker but rather the water line that connects to the appliance. He then collected the $75.00 fee (which had to be less than the cost of a service call that A Apex charges) , a contractual fee with HWA. [redacted] failed to replace a part of the ice-maker (we have been unable to locate it so it was thrown away or taken by the service tech) and left the ice-maker dirty. My wife called me during the service call and informed me that [redacted] had informed her that the water line was not covered by the warranty and that for around $130.00 he could repair the unit. I declined the offer and [redacted] was informed that we did not want the repair made (I was making my decisions concerning the service call on the asumption that everything that [redacted] was telling me was contractually correct). On the yellow invoice copy, the service provided section simply said "water line" which could lead one to believe that a service was actually provided which it was not.
