Review: This complaint is against the store employee at A+ Repairs. He threatened to have me beat up and his customer service level was unacceptable. I could consider A+ repair to be a business that promotes verbal abuse and physical violence, and overall an extremely low level of Professionalism if nothing is done regarding this incident. I have evidence to back up each of my accusations towards [redacted]. Saturday morning at around 12pm on July 20, 2013 I walked into his shop located on Imperial Avenue, prior to speaking with him on his cell phone. The building where his shop was located also had other vendors. When I walked in to show him my I-Pad that had its glass screen broken, I told him that I was unsure which generation it was but that it might be the second generation. He then told me that it was going to be $80 to fix the screen and then $30 to put in the button that it was missing. I then told him that there was a high chance that I had the button at home and that I would call him to let him now. [redacted], the store employee told me that it would be ready in two hours. When I tried calling him within that two hour time frame, his cell phone was turned off, called many times and also sent him written messages via text, his voicemail was full so I couldnt leave a voice message. I then decided to call the actual building and they informed me that he was gone. This really took me by surprise because I do not know of anyone who would tell a client to come back in two hours and take off beforehand without calling their client to make them aware about their early departure. I really needed that I-Pad that same exact date because the next day I had many things to take care off and had to go into work. The day after he decided to text me back in the morning and asked who I was. I then explained to him again who I was and he told me to pick it up around 1PM, I then told him that I needed it yesterday and that I would be picking up at 10am because I had to change my whole schedule and others around so that I could pick up my I-Pad, therefore that was the only time that I would be available to pick up my I-PAD. When I got to his shop, the I-PAD was fixed and then he told me that it was going to be $120 because it was the I-PAD number three and not the IPAD number two. I then told him that I would have appreciated if he gave me the new price before he fixed it just to make me aware. He then started mumbling all these excuses and said that I reached him on his personal phone and that I should have called the 1-800 number listed on banner but what I do not comprehend is that the 1-800 phone number directs me to his cell phone. I also told him that I had the button for him and that I was planning on delivering to him but that he never answered. He argued that I shouldnt be contacting his personal phone and then I question him, Why is your cell phone number up on this business yelp review? in a hesitant manner he then answered, I do not know. When I took out my card to pay him he then told me that his register was not working and then I told him alright then, just discount me the fee that the atm and both my bank will charge me, he did not want to consider so then we started arguing and when he finally considered. As I am about to walk to the ATM, a customer comes in and sees us arguing and since the employee ([redacted] also known as [redacted]) kept being rude to me, I told the customer that I would not recommend him to make business with this employee. This made [redacted] mad and said I was scaring away his business therefore he wasnt going to consider waiving those fees. Went to get the money, come back and he did not want to hand me over my I-PAD unless I paid the money. Once we started arguing again he picked up his phone and called his homegirls to come beat me up, I then told him that I would wait for them to come, and his homegirls never came. I had already wasted a lot of time that I did not have, therefore I asked him to give me his managers name along with his and he did not corporate so I asked the other vendors who were present at the time of the encounter and they gave me some information regarding his business.Desired Settlement: My biggest complaint is that I felt threatened and lets say that his homegirls would have come to beat me up, my life isnt only in danger but also his business is promoting violence and lack of customer service/ professionalism. I would like some type of reimbursement since he made me waste a lot of time and I had to change others peoples schedule around, due to him not answering the phone nor having the courtesy to notify me that he was going to be leaving earlier than he agreed to. [redacted] got caught up in his own lies various times and has a really bad taste in how he handles business. I have never gotten into an argument with any business the way I did with A+ Plus repair, therefore that is why I am writing a complaint not only to make the owner of this business aware but also because a staff like [redacted] can be dangerous for our community if he is constantly threatening customers to have them be beat up physically.
