Quentin Byrd did bring a Ford Crown Victoria to my shop for an engine replacement The estimate was for labor only ,oil ,oil filter & antifreeze.& no other parts [redacted] was to furnish the used engine .

I was told it was ordered & due in the next day or so exact time was not given later that day (9/14/15) I received a call from [redacted] informing me that we had missed the delivery of the engine , & it would be
set up a redeliver date .I waited for a call for the delivery notice It never came I waited for a couple of days , before I started trying to call [redacted] I called several times (to ) for the next or so days could not contact him at all After plus day I finally got a call from [redacted] Telling me that he had bin arrested & jailed the motor that he ordered had been sent back He was trying to get his money back on the engine
and he could no longer afford to pay for the repairs to his car [redacted] told me he needed to pick up the car there was an outstanding bill on the car I had started work on the car hours that was $labor And
over days of storage @ $per day over $ total Totaled over $ Understanding [redacted]'s problem I made him a One time offer of $to pick his car up with in the next day or so[redacted] agreedI was told he would round up the Money & be back to pick up his carI have not heard from [redacted] at all several more calls where made No messages can not be left at his [redacted] phone I have never received any money from [redacted] I did not replace the engine the bills is now $labor & days storage @ $a day Totaling $I have started a mechanic's lien foreclosureon this vehicle After the next plus days with no contact from [redacted] I suspected the car had been abandoned my shop has an answering machine 24/, I also leave a sign on my door when out to lunch with my cell phone #

After 30 plus day I finally got a call from [redacted]  . Telling me that he had bin arrested & jailed . the motor that he ordered had been sent back . He was trying to get his money back on the engineand he could no longer afford to pay for the repairs to his car.  [redacted] told me he needed to pick up the car .  there was an outstanding bill on the car . I had started work on the car 2 hours   that was $136.00 labor And over 30 days of storage @ $20.00 per day . over $600.00  total  . Totaled over $ 736.00 . Understanding [redacted]'s problem I made him a One time offer of $100.00 to pick his car up with in the next day or so. [redacted] agreed.I was told he would round up the Money & be back to pick up his car. I have not heard from [redacted] at all . several more calls where made . No messages can not be left at his [redacted] phone .    I have never received any money from [redacted] . I did not replace the engine  . the bills is now $136 labor & 81 days storage @ $20 a day Totaling $1620.00 .
