In response to the complaint filed against us, the original estimate did say work would be completed within two weeksAll materials were to be purchased by Mr.*** and our original estimate does say we will pick up the materials at no cost
In a verbal conversation with our contractor, Mr*** said the materials were ready for pick up at his local Lowes and Home DepotWe sent guys to pick up the material, but they spent several hours going from store to store trying to track down the orderOnce the material was located, we took it to the client’s home and began workDue to this slight delay, we did feel it was important to offer some type of service to the customer free of chargeThroughout us working on the project at Mr***’s home, he asked (on multiple occasions) for items to be completed in addition to the original scope of workThese items included installation of blinds, hardie backer, doors and a screen doorThe work listed on the scope of work and estimate was completed within two and a half weeks from the start date We continued working at his home, doing the additional work he requested which is what pushed back our job completion date.
ABL would also like to note that we laid tile one day, our workers returned the following day to find that it had been walked on and subsequently had to be reset (which we also did free of charge)Another issue that pushed back our completion is that the customer purchased blinds, which we picked upWe discovered the blinds he ordered/purchased were the incorrect sizeMr*** told us to take them back and have them custom cut (which we did, also free of charge)We feel that we have gone above and beyond to fix the original mishap of not being able to locate the material for the original job and do believe that had Mr*** not added all of the additional work, we would have completed the job in two and a half weeks
Also, In response to the customer not having access to appliances he needed, the original work was completed within two and a half weeks and the customer would have been able to use these as we were just installing blinds and doorsSince the complaint was filed, the job has been completed.
