Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:I have purchased more than one spindle from A&B and they are warranty itemsI have also bought other items covered under warranty from themLike I said before, when I brought my mower to another dealer they are the ones that informed me of the warranty and when I stated what items I purchased from A&B they told me they should have informed me of the items being covered under the warranty.
Sincerely,
*** ***

Mr. [redacted] has purchased parts from A & B Outdoor Equipment.  Mr. [redacted] called us and requested specific parts for his Toro zero turn mower.  In order to look up the correct parts, we asked him for the model and serial number of his equipment.  We have that information recorded in...

our computer system as well as each part that he has purchased for it in the past.  We do not have a purchase date or proof of purchase for his mower.  That information is not required when a customer is requesting to purchase parts. Mr. [redacted] only asked to purchase parts to repair his machine.

Our records indicate that Mr. [redacted]’s purchases were predominantly parts that are considered wear items by any manufacturer.  He purchased blades, belts, and one spindle from A & B for this Toro lawnmower.

For any equipment from any manufacturer that experiences a problem or fails to perform correctly, the equipment must be returned to a servicing dealer to determine what part or parts have malfunctioned, and if the failure is due to manufacturing defect, wear, abuse, impact, or lack of maintenance.  Then, and only then, will the manufacturer consider warranty for the parts and labor to repair the machine. Manufacturing defect is the only basis for a warranty.   Repairs of the equipment must be performed by a servicing dealer.  This procedure for warranty is true for any manufacturer in this industry.
