My tree was destroyed during a storm with half of it landing on a neighbor's property and half of the tree still standing I was given a quote of $400 to cut the remaining tree, haul away the debris and grind the stump but they could not come for at least a week. in order t o prevent further damage a friend cut down most of remaining tree until approximately 5 feet from the ground. His chain saw was not large enough to cut this down. I called to have the estimate corrected because now they only had to remove the balance of the stump, grind it down and remove the debris and the estimator gave me an estimate of $150 over the telephone. I waited for I believe about a week, and when the crew arrived they said the estimate was too low and called their office. I was now told it would cost $600 to do the job, Very frustrated I would not agree and the crew left.

I then called the estimator directly and he came back and said I told him I only wanted the tree stump cut and ground and taken away. That is not what I told him. My original quote was to remove pear tree, remove wood, clean up and grind the stump and clean up the yard. My yard and my neighbors yard was filled with debris. Why in the world would I now not want this debris moved.

The estimator than said this was a lot more work since we had cut the tree down and it would now take them 2 to 2 1/2 hours and he would give me a break from the $600 and do it for $500. At this point I agreed because I needed to get this taken care of. When the crew arrived the next day they came at 4:45 and they left at 5:45 - 1 hour and 1 minute,- not 2 to 2 1/2 hours

I called the estimator saying I believed there should be an adjustment to the price since his time estimate was so far off, the reason he raised his quote was because it would take so much longer. His response was that they quote by the job and not the hours. But he was the one that earlier had told me that the increase was because it would take much longer. Obviously it did not and I believe there should be an adjustment to this bill

They came out and did the work quickly , did it well and cleaned up afterward.

I had 2 trees removed, I was very pleased w/the way the job was handled. John and the crew were very professional, everything was done in a safe and timely fashion. They had to remove two different fences in order to remove this one tree and the crew handled that situation beautifully. The fences were placed back in their original positions when the job was completed along w/any additional clean up in the adjoining yards. I highly recommend National Wide Tree Service, they did everything that the contract called for and the price was reasonable. thank you
