Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I was contacted by Oliver Roofing Syste** and they agreed to refund my money for not doing the agreed upon roof repairs. I have received the refund check and I am satisfied with the outcome and I am very happy to say that the complaint has been resolved. Thank you so much for your help in resolving this! I am looking forward to having a new roofer fix my roof properly so that I can get started on interior repairs.   Sincerely, [redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/07/07) */
Addressing what was said without describing emotions by either party.
1) Recognized the mention that patient did not wear contact lenses for a few years.
2) He did have VSP (Vision Service Plan) insurance that covers an exam and affords a...

discount for the LASIK procedure.
3) He was told that If he does not go forward with the LASIK procedure that we'd submit his exam to VSP for coverage. He would then be able to use this for glasses and contacts. This did not mean that prescriptions would be provided at no charge. The contact lenses would require further fitting requirements and tests that are not fully covered by VSP. He did receive his prescription for glasses since this is what had been covered by VSP.
4) To get a contact lens prescription he will need to see our optometrist to complete the contact lens portion of the exam that is not fully covered by VSP. His VSP coverage has now expired. If he completes this portion of exam he will receive a contact lens prescription. The fitting process is e multiple visit process. The fee for this will be $60.00.
5) Information regarding when payment for LASIK was due was discussed and given to him (please see attached) in writing the day of his consultation. This is usually due 10 days prior to the procedure date. His exam was scheduled for his ability to be examined for the procedure 7 days prior to the date of procedure. He was informed the day the appointment was made that he would need to pay for the procedure on the exam date.
6) On the day of exam he showed up at the wrong office, Crown Point (appointment card is provided to patient the day they make their appointment with time, date and location). Our doctor was still willing to examine him when he arrived at the correct location, Valparaiso. I met the patient In our waiting room after he arrived to ensure him we could still go forward. No other patient in waiting room at this time. I Inquired with him If he was OK to go forward and prepared to pay for the procedure this day. He said yes‘ After the exam, upon checking out, he told our front desk employee that he was not willing to pay until after the procedure. She paged me to come to speak with the patient The patient said he has never paid for anything until after he has received it. I tried to explain to him that I discussed this with him at his consultation and had also given him this requirement in writing at that time. I do not know what brought this about at this point.
7) I told him we would then submit his exam to VSP and he could get his prescription for glasses.

This patient is more than welcome to complete the exam for contacts with the requirements as mentioned above. We can also forward the portion of exam completed to a doctor of his choice or may also request to pick up copy of his exam from our office with advance notice so we may have ready for his arrival.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/07/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Unbelievable. They literally said that the scripts were covered under the cost of the pre-exam (which was covered in full by VSP.) How someone can turn around and lie like that is cowardly and shameful. Not only that but I scheduled my appointment with Patrick over the phone and had only met with him once prior at the Crown Point office. So how I could have psychically received an appointment card with the branch location for the pre exam is beyond me! Interesting! My VSP coverage is also undoubtedly NOT expired. My father works as the district manager for a medical sales company and I am covered until I am 26. Contact fitting is also NOT a multiple visit process, I used to wear contacts from the 4th grade through my freshman year of college and I have visited MULTIPLE optometrists and always left the same day with script in hand. I had my fiance drive me in and we sat and waited at least an hour before the NURSE brought us back, the doctor came in at least an hour after that. Once again, another blatant lie. It's also lovely that there was nothing mentioned about my sub-par experience in their optical shop.
