A Bernardo Inc Reviews (1)
I called Handyman Connections approximately 3 weeks ago regarding my sprinkler system, doorbell and faucet pressure. On August 16, after almost 3 weeks of waiting and excuses, they finally sent someone to replace my sprinkler’s control box. I asked the technician the cost and he said they usually charge $75/hr. When Handyman Connections, [redacted], sent me the electronic invoice, they charged $100 for parts and $400 labor. I questioned him about it and they agreed to reduce it to $200 for labor. On August 19, a technician came and fixed the doorbell and facet. He said he would charge $95. When [redacted] arrived at my house, he gave me a bill for $163 and said an additional $11 charge was driving to Home Depot to purchase the part and another $30 service charge. He asked me why I should receive a reduction in price and I responded by saying the additional costs were added in before I could agree to pay them and also because of me having to wait for 3 weeks to have the issues resolved. I also said it was unprofessional for him to say he was going to be here and didn't show up. [redacted] then began screaming in my house saying, "ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR?" repeatedly and in a threatening manner. He also demanded that I write the check even before I had a chance to do so. I am in the military in the process of moving. Even the movers were amazed at the lack of control of this Handyman Connections representative. They felt I was in a volatile, threatening and unsafe and decided to stay and witness the whole interaction. I also asked for an official copy of the sprinkler bill, but [redacted] said he had nothing to do with it and that I should have worked it out with the technician. I am satisfied with the work as the technicians were efficient and courteous. However, [redacted] desperately needs a few lessons on anger management and customer service.
