Review: I purchased a pre-paid massage and facial package, as I had done many time before from this business. Unfortunately, I still am owed an hour long massage, valued at $70, and it seems the spa has gone out of business. I would have appreciated being notified by the business if they were going to close shop; I would have liked the opportunity to book an appt before they closed.Desired Settlement: To have a one hour massage or be refunded the $70 for the gift certificate purchse price.
Review: On November 10/2013 I went to the spa for a facial, they were offering a special for spa week. On November 17, I broke out with red lumps around my mouth. At times, I got whiteheads too. I thought it would eventually go away but when it did not if was forced to call my dermatologist. He sent me cream to apply thinking that it may be a fungus but it still did not go away. I went to visit my doctor and I was told that I have a bacterial infection and that I need to take pills for 8 weeks. He said that if left untreated it will not go away and will continue to come back. I called the salon to let them know about my problem, how I consulted a doctor and that my pills were going to cost $149 dollars. [redacted], the manager, said she would speak to the owner and get back to me. When I did not hear back from her I called and [redacted] told me it could not be them because they do not use any instruments. I told her the technician used a brush on my face. She stated that they keep everything clean. I told her that upon departing, I noticed spider webs, dust and filth. There were clumps of dust with hair and nails mixed into it on the floor in their waiting area. I told [redacted] that if their waiting area, which is exposed to their clients full view, is left filthy without them caring then I am more than sure that no cleaning would take place were no one can see. She stated that although the waiting room was filthy it did not have anything to do with how they keep the rest of the spa. I told her I beg to differ. She said that bacterial infections only last a couple of weeks and at that time I asked her if she was a doctor because I was told by a dermatologist that if not addressed it would never go away completely.Desired Settlement: pay for my medication to get rid of bacterial infection or give me all my money back
