A Better Car

Called and set up appointment with [redacted] to view Jeep Cherokee, on 10/10/11 for purchase by my son. He was told in my presence that the vehicle would be ready in 1 week, we were to get and email ins. cards to [redacted]. This started a cycle of waiting a couple more days (from 10/17 - approx 11/21) was told it just needed to be inspected and new carpet installed then it would be ready to go. After Thanksgiving, I asked [redacted] if there was another vehicle he could loan my son until Jeep was ready (it still was not done and [redacted] had offered before). He had a Honda Accord that my son could use (had to buy from him and when Title came were supposed to be able to trade for the Jeep {was supposed to be ready by the time the Accord Title came through}), purchase was final on 12/17. When title came, Jeep was still not ready (as of today 3/29-still no jeep). The night my son received the Accord, the battery died (AAA said it was the wrong battery-[redacted] agreed, and also said it was almost dead {we replaced battery}. On 3/20/12, the tail pipe fell off muffler, [redacted] refused to see to it that week (it was completely rotted after my son had it for 3 months), My son offered to pay half the cost if [redacted] would agree to let him take it to [redacted] refused. The new muffler (back to catalytic converter) cost $590 before tax (which we paid for). We believe [redacted] should be held accountable for this repair, since it should have been seen to before the sale. He also told my son and I on the day my son purchased the Accord, that one of the fans needed to be replaced and that he was ordering it the next day and would call my son when it came in and he would have it put in, he never ordered it, which I found out on 3/20 when trying to get him to see to the muffler. He said my son never called him about the noise of the old fan, so he didn't see to it. From start til now, it has been 6 months of hell.
