I use this company for my monthly services and I have a great experience with them! They are always so polite and do a great job cleaningAnytime I have any issues I just call them and they come right out to fix it
As part of buying a house in Odessa, we had a home inspection done and problems were found with the pool pump and filter. Contract was signed on the house with the stipulation of the pump and filter being fixed. Owner had a contract with A Better Pool and Spa Service - and at closing were were given a receipt from this company stating :
"Removed all suction and return valves
Replaced all suction and return n valves
-Inspected entire pool pump and filter system, found that everything is running"
The week we moved into the house a pool cleaner came to service the pool from this company and I found them putting chemicals in the pool (this is a saltwater pool).
We had another Pool company come and check the pool - found that the filter had NEVER been changed and when the cover was opened the filter was shredded and in pieces. The system was not working!
Called A Better Pool and Spa Service - their response was that they did replace the valves, but never inspected the pump or filter system - said "We don't do that"! I responded that I had the receipt and they responded that they didn't owe us anything since the receipt was dated 3 days before closing and we weren't the owners when they did the repair. Blew us off!
The filter had to be replaced and the pump and filter system had to be fixed all at our cost. The new pool service company said that anyone who serviced pools would have known the filter wasn't working just by putting DE powder and seeing immediate blow back.
We did contact the former owner, and his response was that he hadn't been pleased with the company servicing the pool for over a year and asked us for a recommendation for another pool service company that could be trusted.
Do not believe this company even when they give you a receipt stating the services they perform. They are a dishonest, scamming company.
We are NOT a customer of this company for the above reasons! I can provide proof of their service with a copy of the receipt if needed.
My pool heater was reportedly repaired by this company due to fault found at home inspection. I continued a brief service working with a gentleman identified as owner on his business card. They close for 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years. My heater broke with the same error message and I attempted to contact them. I was replied to with very terse and unhelpful emails one week later. I asked in my initial inquiry about replacing my heater and automating my system which would have meant thousands of dollars. The owner invited me to find another company to service my pool.
