Called for a quote to snake a drain. They quoted a price of 169.00. They came out and took 5 to 10 minutes to snake the drain and charged 269.00. They made no indication that the price would be higher than the quoted price on the phone.

Yes he was told 169.00 and that is what he will pay just don't why you dont Contact us 1st before writing a letter tothewRevdex.com we could have resolved this ourself.

We contracted A Buckeye because we had no water in either of the two kitchen sinks and a problem with black water. When the guy came out he unscrewed the faucet screen, tapped them on his hand, blew it out and put it back on. We then had water and it was clear. He was not there any longer than 10 minutes tops and charged $310.56. The same day my husband called and told them the amount they charged was way out of line for what they did and the amount of time it took. The man he talked to said he would speak to the plumber and if he said the same thing he MAY make some kind of adjustment. He was going to call my husband back and has not done so yet. This is 6 days and 5 messages later. All they had to do was 1. return the phone call and 2. adjust their over pricing and they would not have received a bad review from us. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They take advantage of people based on the amount they charge, they don't return phone calls and should not be trusted.

Hello yes your husband dont talk to one of the guys and he said he would got back to him Gentleman had some family matter said he had to take care of and we was going to reverse you half of your money but you can't do check before we could. Like the Gentlemen said that your husband talk to. So Technically you did not pay for services at all Show were even write thank you and have a nice day.

First after internet search it says that a Mr.Brian l*** is the business owner. But, after reading *** the reviews it seems the only one responding to complaints are others, such as Roy H
My primary complaint is being ridiculously over charged 423.65 for replacing toilet
Flapper and a drippy out door spiket . the Plumber ???r Roy H. Same person answering complaints on this site. Hmmm.
This invoice provided to me for the flapper was 228.00, which he claimed he had to go get one. Didn't have one his unmarked vehilcle. The invoice was by the way not
Itemized ,just scribbled note, flapper and bolt. No breakdown of time or parts.
That check was made out to a-buckeye at his request. The. Other service was for a drippy spiket, that cost 195.00, again didn't have needed part on truck. Again had to go
Somewhere to get it. Was not provided and invoice at ***, instead handed his Roy the handyman business card, and told the 195.00 was to be made payable directly to him.
I didn't c*** this company to a handyman for 423.65. I expected a Plummer with
Proper tools and parts to do the job. When I c***ed the office I admit I didn't say anything
About the spiket my husband *** of a sudden remembered and said we may as well get that fixed. But even so he should have had what he needed on hand. And not 195.00 for it. I was a small business owner and in 9 years never had a customer pay me personally. And never did I not provide a detailed written invoice. Check for 195.00 was cashed very next day.
My point is this I was terribly over charged and Not getting a professional plumber as advertised. Something very shading going with this business. The only reason a business would ask the payment to be made to someone else is to avoid reporting it as income and then not pay tax on that money. No invoice , no paper trail. This goal bill should not have exceeded 300.00. And I should not have had to pay for someone's time to get
Some very simple parts that a plumber would have on hand in their truck.

I am sorry that you feel you were over charged. A-Buckeye is currently owned by Brian L as your research shows. You will also see the Name Roy H who was the former owner/grandfather who as of November 2016 has very little to do with the basic services of the company. He now only works on the main water lines and main sewer lines. This is a family owned and operated business as it states. Brian took over the business in 2007. Our standard rate for replacing a toilet flapper can very from $175 to $225. plus tax depending on the style and brand. This includes the service call, parts and labor the only thing added to this is tax. Please know that we do carry many parts on our trucks, however we are not able to carry every part for every product. As for the truck not having the business name on it we have recently purchased new vehicles and have not had the chance to take them to get the business information put on them. To address the breakdown of the bill the technician should have been able to break it down for you at the time he was there or someone in our office could have provided you with this. This check should have been made to the business as you called the business for the work. You stated that he gave you a "handy man" card is this the number that you called for the faucet outside? If so then you would not have issued a check for the company nor should he have used our invoices to provide a receipt if this was not through the business. The technician that did the work was a Roy H but was not the former owner. If you called him from his "handy man" card for the services then I cannot speak about that as it has nothing to do with A-Buckeye. If you called the business back and he had you write the check to him then this is another issue that we need to address and I would appreciate it if you would call the office so that I can talk with you. If I am not in please leave a your name and number so that I can call you back. Please know that we do and have ALWAYS filed our taxes since the business was opened over 46 years ago. We have NEVER not paid our taxes nor do we plan not to. Thank you in advance, Ashley A Buckeye Rooter Service ***

We had contacted A-Buckeye to figure out why we didn't have hot water. They never came out on the original date they scheduled as a result of double booking. We then had to wait til the next day. The plumber had changed our elements (which we supplied, new), he then checked the water before leaving. It was still cold and he said after about 20 minutes we should have hot water. We never did. After a second trip out the plumber exchanged my elements (again, new) saying that they were defective, put in a set from his truck costing an addition $50 in parts. He then replaced the thermistats, which was not needed (an additional $60) and still no hot water. He waited in his truck for 20 minutes to see if the hot water would kick in but it never did. We payed for the parts (all of which were not needed) and the plumber left knowing he was leaving us with NO HOT WATER. We payed to have it fixed and all he did was put parts in hoping it would work and it didn't he even claimed the hot water tank was getting power when in fact, it was not. My father, who lives 2 hours away, came out a couple days later after learning the professional plumber did not do what he was hired to do after two trips out, and looked at my hot water tank. Within 10 minutes he was able to identify that the fuse located above our hot water tank had blown (a $5 piece) and was able to fix the problem within 15 minutes. When I called the company the following Monday (the plumber had came out on a Friday and the weekend had passed) I voiced my complaints only to be treated like an it because i'm a woman, and told over and over that there is no fuse above any water tank. Clearly, THERE WAS. After going back and forth with the "office manager" and rudely being asked "what are you looking to get out of it," (Hot water for starters) he was completely fine with charging us the $420.00 and seen no reason in reducing or refunding any of the money. His argument was that the fuse falls under an electricians job and he is not obligated to check it even though it is attached and ran up from the hot water tank and a component of the tank itself, he also argued that it is outdated for a hot water tank to be set up that way. This plumber was inexperienced, and regardless he should have been smart enough to track why the hot water tank was not getting power and address the issue with mw, not put in unnecessary parts, sticking us with the bill. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE! We will never use this company EVER again. We are good people, we understand people make mistakes but this company does not learn from their mistakes and expect their customers to pay for it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Hell, call me and i'll send my dad to your place before this company!

So for putting parts on your water heater that you dont need you called us out to in still Heating elements to your hot water tank in your craw space that your husband already attempted to take out that was stripped but we had to go buy a new tool because it broke it and to as for the electric that you are talking about was a nether round Hughes that was installed on the electric line after the main breaker in the rafters of the craw space where our gentleman was sitting in water trying to get you the hot water back on. And as for the other parts you just For the parts and not now the labor and you shouldn't have a Breaker in the breaker Box and an additional old school round fuse on a hot water tank no we do not track the electric line and check all of that because we are not electricians.

On November 5, 2017, I called them because the alarm on my battery sump pump would not stop. Since it was a Sunday night I knew it would cost extra for them to come out. The repair man replaced my main sump pump and charged me a ridiculous $910.65. He told me he put in a very good sump pump. He did not itemize the bill. About 1/2 hour after he left we started hearing the sound of water every few minutes. We then discovered that he had not correctly tightened the pipe leaving the sump pump and it was spraying water everywhere. He returned in about 45 minutes and fixed it but by that time half of our basement was flooded. After some on-line research I learned the sump pump he put in is not very good with many complaints about it not working right after about 2 years and it only cost $130 retail. I called the company and the supervisor told me that the cost should be $225 to show up plus their hourly rate (which he was only here 1 hour at the most) and that he would have to talk to his repair man about the flooding. I told him that I had spent $75 on new carpet padding and I also thought that the bill was way out of line with a $550 plus labor charge after you take off the cost of the sump pump and the $225 show up fee. It has been one month and he has never called me back or given me any kind of refund on this extremely high bill.

To whom it may concern,We received a call from Mr. about his sump pump. It was a Sunday about 9pm. We got this dispatched out to the technicians and he got there as soon as he could. Upon arrival our technician noticed that the pump was not working and the water was backing up in the basement. Our tech installed a new sump pump. He waited for approximately 30 minutes while the water pumped out of the basement. After leaving the technician received a phone call that there was water was spaying out of the pipe. It took our technician about 15 minutes to get back. He said it appeared that someone loosened the screw on the boot connection. I am not sure who Mr. spoke to because our sump pumps, like other items we install, are a set price. According to our technician it was already wet at the time of his arrival. Which generally if there is an alarm it usually goes off if the battery is going dead or because the pump is failing, and the water is backing up. If the pump was working fine, then once the technician replaced the pump it would have continued to beep. As far as a refund of the padding he replaced, if he can provide photos and documents then we can refund the price of padding. Thank you,Ashley

I am rejecting this response because: It is completely inaccurate. There was no water in the basement when the technician originally came out, because I had a battery backup sump pump that was working, but the alarm was constantly going off. The reason the technician had to come back(the 2nd time) is because when he installed the new sump pump he did not tighten the clamp correctly and it broke loose after about 15 minutes thus causing the water to spray out of the connection and onto the basement floor. It also took him close to 1 hour to return. They also ripped me off on the price of the service as I detailed in my original complaint.

Regards
