Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: All purchases we made were recommended and approved by the the scheduler or the electrician. They mistakenly told us that the fans we had purchased were "perfect," which is why we threw away the fan left laying around by Rocco, and also why we scheduled a second service call. The second call was a half day of "work" which consisted of Rocco finally realizing his error, attempting to convince us to purchase another set of fans, then waiting for a second electrician to help him with a job he later realized was also not going to accomplish our goals. The lost fan and the wasted half day were the direct result of an error on Rocco's part and we feel that we should be reimbursed accordingly.
Sincerely,
[redacted] Magnani
We were called by [redacted] to install 3 fan controls and install 1 new fan. Our service technician, Rocco, went to the home and started his service call. As he was installing the second fan control kit supplied by owner, he realized that the control would not be compatible with the existing...
fan due to the bulbs. We acknowledged this mistake and let [redacted] know that. With that said, most ceiling fans use standard bulbs which are typically compatible with the fan control kit we recommended. [redacted] was given a number options including the option to replace the fans which she chose. When she came back with the new fans our technician checked the outside of the box and saw the bulbs were good. There were NO specifications on the box that indicated external fan controls would not be used and we never opened the box. When we returned a week later to finish the work we found that the fans would not work with the fan control kit. Either she was advised wrong at the supply house where she purchased the fans or she picked up the wrong boxes. We never advised the customer to throw away the old fans. In regards to the wire mold issues, there was most definitely the wrong type of wire mold originally installed. The original wire mold was for low voltage wiring application, which was plastic. We told the customer this and she approved and authorized us to replace the old wire mold and install the correct type. [redacted] was aware of the amount of time it would take to do the work. All the issues the customer had were discussed with the scheduler. We understand that the installation of the fan control kits without having looked at the bulbs is partly our mistake. We have addressed this by providing a discount to the customer. This was discussed with [redacted] prior to her paying us.
