April 26,2013 I called A + Cleaning Services to set-up an appointment to have a wall-to-wall carpeting removed from my friends living room ([redacted] Dr.; [redacted], MA [redacted]).She ([redacted]) was at a Boston hospital with her ** year old son who was having [redacted] surgery.)I spoke with [redacted] & explained that in addition to the removal of the rug, I wanted the living room, hallway, and stairs sanded and refinished. Most importantly, I wanted an estimate before they started work. They arrived Monday, April 29, 2013 and proceeded to tear up the baseboards. I explained that I told [redacted] I wanted an estimate before they started. The foreman called [redacted] & I was assured I would have an estimate within a half hour. I returned to what I was doing, but when I returned to the living room 15 minutes later, they had the rug pulled up. I finally got the estimate by word of mouth from the foreman. They continued with the work. The floors in the living room and hallway are beautiful. The stairs, however, are definitely not. I spoke with the workers 3 times about this, of which the first 2 times the man kept telling me he didn't understand. They were going to leave without replacing the baseboards or furniture. The result being they tried to charge an additional $50.00 to place the furniture back. The charge to replace the baseboards and was $190.00. They brought cheap pine baseboard material. They proceeded to screw them into the wall in pieces. The screws were not screwed all the way in, making it very dangerous. I told them this was unexceptable. He left and I called [redacted]. She sent the senior person out who assured me this would all be corrected. He never showed. Again I called [redacted]. Finally last week the senior, replaced 1 board then left. Please help me.
