Review: On July 21, I used movinghelpcenter.com to reserve two movers for two hours of moving help. I received a confirmation email informing me that AM Clemm of Pittsburgh, PA would be my provider for my August 1 move. A deposit of $20 was deducted from my checking account. On August 1, the movers were scheduled to arrive at noon. At 12:15, I began to call AM Clemm because the movers had not arrived. The second time I called, I spoke with a woman who said that she would contact my movers and call me back immediately to let me know when they would be arriving. I never heard from her again. I called AM Clemm a total of seven times that day in an attempt to find out whether the movers I had hired would ever arrive, and was sent to voicemail six of seven times. I left a voicemail which has never been returned. I also called and left two voicemails for Moving Help Center, which had assigned AM Clemm as my provider, and was never called back. On August 6, I emailed AM Clemm regarding a refund of my deposit. I have still received no contact from AM Clemm since speaking with the woman who told me she would call back immediately with my movers' whereabouts. Because my movers never arrived and because I had reserved a UHaul until 4PM and UHaul did not permit me to extend my reservation when I called, I had to load and unload heavy furniture and boxes in a hurry with the help of an acquaintance. My left sacroiliac joint was so inflamed from the lifting that the next day I scheduled an "emergency" massage and an appointment with my chiropractor for his earliest availability. In addition, I was unable to move my largest piece of furniture (a couch), and it is still at my previous residence. Finally, because the movers never arrived, I did not have enough time to load all of my boxes into the UHaul, and had to return to my previous residence on a separate day in order to move the rest of my possessions.Desired Settlement: I have already filed a complaint against Moving Help Center regarding the refund of my $20 deposit. I am requesting that AM Clemm pay me $74.95 to cover the cost of the massage I required due to sacroiliac inflammation the day after my move (this figure does not include the gratuity I left). I am attaching documentation of this expense.
