A Discount Flooring Co

A Discount flooring called me after services were completed. I was expecting an invoice to pay the balance of my account, but I was hit with a DEMAND of paying for approx $1200 of additional out of contract fees.I requested that they provide justification and documentation for these additional fees and they essentially responded with a threat of going to a court of law to get their money.This all happened in 1 day. On a Thursday, I received a phone call regarding the balance, on Friday they threatened legal action. Still I have not received an invoice detaililng the charges in question nor do I actually have documentation about the actual amount owed.I have asked to talk to the owner of the company to resolve this matter fairly and the collection agent with their office replied that it would not happen and that legal action would be taken if I didn not pay. all this is in email conversation.I still do not have any paperwork detailing the amount owed. at this point, it is essentially extortion for $1200 because I have no invoice or evidence of the work performed only verbal assault that I owe them money. I am not questioning that the work was done - it may have been, but without any further information I can not verify it. I have merely asked for the additional information to confirm it prior to paying so it is not tha I am paying random people who call me demanding money.I would never recommend using this company based on their business practices.
