A Doggie Doo, Inc.

On July 2nd 2012 My husband picked our dogs up from A Doggie Doo in Watertown NY my dogs stayed at the facility for a total of four days. When my husband got home I noticed that my toy poodle had feces and urine matted to the back of him and underneath him, he was very dirty and smelled of urine. Earlier that day I called A Doggie Doo to see if the had time to groom him before I picked him up not knowing what he looked like at all. They told me they were backed up until Thursday, I said that is fine and made an appointment for then. So after he was home and he was covered in feces I could not wait until Thursday and had him groomed else where that day. I called A Doggie Doo to tell them of the situation and was told that every dog is checked while they are being boarded and before they leave to make sure they are clean. I told them What my dog looked like and smelled like, they then told me that they would have the owner [redacted] call in a few minutes. I waited for about and hour and she never called so I called back and got a gentlemen who said he could help me with the situation. He told me he was sorry and that he did not know what happened I informed him that this was the second time this has happened with my dog and was assured that it would not happened again. He told me that their was nothing he could do, and was not authorized to accommodate for anything. I asked to speak to the manager and he told me [redacted] will call you in a minute. She finally did call me and told me the same story as what the previous worker told me, she was rude and very inconsiderate about the situation she said it was not her fault that it happened before because she was not the owner at the time so that was not her problem, and that she could not do anything for me. I asked her why if every dog is checked before leaving that my dog looked the way he did. [redacted] said she did not know and that I could not obviously be pleased so there was nothing she could do and that I am the only customer who has this problem. She also said why did I not bring him back to the shop, I told her that when I called before I came they said they did not have any grooming available so I figured they would not be able to help me she said she does not get why I did that. I told he that I took pictures of it if she wanted to see I would bring them in, She told me not to come into the store because I could not be satisfied. She then told me that she had both my dogs in the same cage together and that maybe the bigger dog peed on the little dog and that the big dog has a bad attitude and maybe that's why people don't go near him and that he is protective of the toy poodle. I could not believe she was blaming my dog for the situation this is a dog boarding facility they should know how to handel dogs and if they did not feel comfortable with my dog they should of informed me. At this point She is being very loud with me and rude she then says she can not help me and hands the phone to A man who immediately starts screaming and yelling at me. I keep trying to ask who I was speaking to but he just keep screaming to the point where I could not make out his words, he finally said this is [redacted] the owners lawyer. I was very confused on why he was speaking to me at all he then went on to say that I am being difficult and can not be pleased and I could take the offer of getting my dog groomed at a later date or nothing at all. At this point I was so upset from being yelled at I was in tears and just hung up the phone. I have never in my life had any business speak or treat me this way, for people that you leave your pets with and that you should trust they sure made me feel like I did something wrong for asking why my dog looked and smelled they way he did. After they way they treated me why would I ever take my dog back to this place. Please look into this matter paying customers should never be treated this way especially brought to tears over a matter of such. She should not be treating people like this.
