I scheduled service via the 800 number for my icemaker in my side by side refrigerator. I called on Friday, August 23 to arrange service. I was informed that in my rural area service calls were made on Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 8a to 5p. I explained that I worked on Wednesdays and would be at work until noon on Thursday. I needed to have the repairman come between 12-30 and 5 pm. I was told that was being noted. On Wednesday, August 28, I received a robo call reminding me of the next day service that stated the repair was scheduled between 8a and 5p the next day. I immediately called back and spoke to a technician reiterating that no one would be home until 12:30 and that the service person would be making a 30 mile wasted trip if he came earlier. I was told again that this was being noted. The next day while I was at work I received a call on my cell at 9:30 a.m. from the repairman stating he was at my home which is 15 miles from my workplace. I told him I had scheduled the service for the afternoon and that I could not come home at that time. I then contacted the 800 service number and spoke with Ashley trying to find out if the service could be reset for the afternoon. It took 10 minutes to get her to understand that I wasn't asking for a specific time when he would return, just let me know if he would return that afternoon between 12:30 and 5 for the scheduled service. She had the repairman call me back and he said he would return in the afternoon. I waited until 5:30 and no repairman showed or called to say that he wouldn't return. After 5:30 I texted the repairman stating that we would be out for the night and no one would be home. After 6 pm I received a phone call from the repairman stating that he was on the way. I told him I had waited all afternoon with no word and had evening plans. He texted back asking if I wanted to reschedule. I said that I wasn't sure. I then received a text stating that service had been rescheduled for Sept. 18 ( 3 weeks away). That text was immediately followed by one stating that A and E service had been cancelled. There was no accountability from any of the four people I had contacted regarding this service, My time was not respected or valued. I cannot see in the future every trying to utilize this company again.

Technician made 2 visits and the problem (ice forming on the freezer drawer) was not fixed. (He said he did not want to unnecessarily charge me for parts/repair I didn't need. OK, but what he did, did not fix the problem) They do not return phone calls promptly and when I emailed for an appointment, they did not call me back but emailed for ME to call them. When I called them back and set up a 3rd appointment, the dispatcher later forgot what the problem was and why she was sending a technician. I actually did then cancel the 3d appt because I thought the problem had cleared up, but a few hours later I realized that ice was no longer forming on the freezer drawer BECAUSE IT WASN'T COLD ENOUGH TO FREEZE THE WATER. Now the problem has gotten worse because it was never fixed on the first 2 visits and they want me to wait another week for the next available appointment - no way to expedite even if my refrigerator is not working and it's because they failed to fix it. Their advice to me was to "call around to see if I can get someone else in sooner." If I get someone else, I will have to pay A & E for service I never received! And in the meantime, everything in my refrigerator will spoil! Really bad service - I do not recommend them.

Superbad customer service!!!!!! My Whirlpool refrigerator broke 2 months ago. My first schedule was canceled, they will order the part and wait 7-14 days and call me later, but they did not. After 3 weeks, they still did not have an answer and I try to call them. They came in, but the part was not working and they told me to wait 7-14 days and call me later again. Ok!!! I waited two weeks again and try to call them. They try to repair, the refrigerator still does not work. Finally, they told me the same thing, I try to keep calling them, but they told me, they will come in after 3 weeks. *** you!!! Don't choose A&E Appliance. Their workers don't care what do you want and just tell you to keep waiting. Terrible service !!!! Terrible company!!!!! waste your time!!
