I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I would like to state that their response is in contrast to what happened when I called to confirm if I could use the first card a few months back. First of all, the gift card is not 10 years old or even close to 10 years old. Second of all, I was specifically told it could not be used because there was new ownership. I would like to state this in writing so that it is CLEAR that this business is not being honest with Revdex.com about the situation. If I had been told that I could bring the gift card in for them to validate whether they would honor it, I would have. By causing me to come to Revdex.com regarding this matter has left a bad taste in my mouth and makes me hesitant to use their services. I fear they will not be kind should I go into their business for services. It has also caused them potentially lose a great tip one of their staff could have received. 
So, I will accept their response, but I want them to understand that they are misrepresenting the truth of what occurred.

Review: A friend gave me a gift certificate for this day spa a few years back. I was unable to use the certificate during that time due to job changes and moving from Maryland to Virginia. I finally have time in the coming weeks to use this certificate that does not have an expiration, yet they are unwilling to honor it. They claim the business changed management; however the name has not changed. I would think they would have to honor a gift certificate that was paid in full and provide the service if there is no expiration date. This isn't my issue as a consumer but rather theirs for not putting down an expiration date. The reviews online for this business are also bad and were validated when I called just to make an appointment. They were rude and short with me on the phone. They clearly don't care about their customers.Desired Settlement: If they are unwilling to provide the service that was paid for, I would like a check for the amount of the gift certificate so I can go somewhere else with my business.
