For the past seven years, I had no problems with this company. Recently I had problems with my heating unit, the service tech stated that the thermostat need replaced and I agreed. He instructed me to call the office for the thermostat warranty which I did. I was told that I would receive the thermostat warranty in an email which has not arrived. I have called a total of four phone calls without results of receiving the thermostat warranty. I am seeking the solving of this problem. I got the new "Goodman" brand AC/Heating unit installed by A&E in October of 2008. I am attaching a copy of the invoice that indicates 10 years part warranty; I have added the unit number and concealed personal information for Revdex.com perusal. I talked to them and mailed an Email on May 12 explaining the the situation. The Email also had the invoice attachment with all the details included. I am attaching a copy of this Email. After a few days I called to find out if they figured out what happened and suggestion for resolving the problem. Their response was they are trying to work with distributor/manufacturer. I let few days pass by and called again. Every few days I called to check if any progress was made. The last time I called was on May 23rd afternoon. The answer was they need to contact for the part. I offered to hold the phone while inquiry was made on another phone line at A&E. But not knowing how quick the response to the query will be, I asked to call me back as soon as the information is available. This was Friday preceding Memorial Day on 26th. So, I clarified I would be expecting some response by Tuesday 27th. I have waited for a week and not heard from them so far. The summer days are here. The temperatures are hovering in upper 80s and predicted to go in 90s The trapped warm air inside the house makes it even hotter and likely a health hazard.. The pattern of not returning any calls, is very irresponsible and unethical. The ulterior motive is unclear.Desired SettlementRepairMore Information from Consumer:Thanks. Here is a brief account of the followup. I received a message from A&E on 6/12/14 . I tried the next day to reach this person a few times and left messages. This being Friday before Father's Day, I expected some delay until following Monday. Since then we have been missing each other and leaving messages. The person sounded pleasant in the messages. Unfortunately for me, the voice-mail service is not functioning for last 2 days on my cell, so I cannot get to any of my messages, however my land-line phone is fine. If a major appliance broke, it would be a great inconvenience, if the car was broken, it would be a big headache, but could rent a car till repair was done. But the ice bag on the head and fans can help just a limited amount when the temperatures are climbing up close to record highs. Considering the fact that I had a heart attack; my age (septuagenarian); existing conditions like high blood, diabetes etc.; the medications need to be stored within certain room temperature for use; I did not want to take any chance with the health issues and got a new system installed. With a part of unit replacement it would have cost me a fraction of what the new system has cost (more than $5000). But I had no courage to gamble with my health issues. You may close the complaint noting it has not taken the usual route of resolution. Thanks.
