A-Fast Tax Service Corp

I used this tax preparation service for two years. I received a letter from the IRS stating that my 2011 taxes was recalculated and I owe $750.00. I called Mr. [redacted], owner and preparer, to inform of the letter I received. An appointment was made so he could review the info. Upon review it was apparent that Mr. [redacted] made an error preparing my taxes. He did not transpose the correct amount from my W-2. He said it was a mistake and that I need to contact the IRS. I responded by saying I went to him purposely because he is the "tax expert"...otherwise I would have prepared my taxes on my own. I paid a fee for service to a so-called trained tax preparer. He looked at me and asked "What do you want from me ?" He did not offer to return the fee I paid nor to pay for his mistake. He was condescending and basically implied that it was my problem. I am an educated person and find it quite difficult to accept that a business can treat the customers like this. I paid for his expertise and he was at fault. Why do I need to pay for his mistake? Not only did he get paid but also there is no accountability for his actions. His PIN # is [redacted]...the Firm's EIN is [redacted].
