To Whom It May Concern: Please see the attached response from A Finer Touch Construction regarding complaint [redacted] A Finer Touch Construction takes this complaint seriously and we appreciate the opportunity to respondSincerely, A Finer Touch Construction, LLC September 22, 2017Revdex.comAttn: Conciliation & Engagement SpecialistEMissouri AvenuePhoenix, AZ 85014Re: Complaint ID # [redacted] To Whom It May Concern:Below is the response from A Finer Touch Construction regarding Complaint ID [redacted] A Finer TouchConstruction (“AFT”) takes this complaint seriously and has made several efforts to resolve this dispute with thecustomer.At the center of this dispute is a contract for AFT to remodel the customer’s home to the stage of completed drywall.When AFT began working with the customer, AFT advised the customer regarding obtaining a permit from the Town ofParadise ValleyAFT has an email from the customer stating that they had spoken with the Town of Paradise Valleyand were informed no permit was required and, therefore, did not want to obtain oneThis was done per thecustomer’s directionIn addition, the customer never provided plans and specifications required to obtain a permit.The customer did not provide any construction documents for the work, which resulted in many decisions being madein the field during site walks, through email communication, or by the customer simply writing comments on the walls.These were all memorialized in written change orders if these items were not part of the original scope of work.Throughout the time period that AFT was working on customer’s home, the progress was delayed several times due tothe customer’s failure to respond to AFT requests for decisionIt was not uncommon for AFT to wait several days andeven weeks to receive responses from the customer.The customer states that AFT was unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disorganized in our approach to resolvingproblemsDuring AFT’s time working on the project, the only issue raised by the customer were questions regardingbillingAFT’s President, Brad L [redacted] met with the customer for breakfast to review the billings going through eachitem one by oneAt the end of the meeting, the customer expressed gratitude for his time, acknowledged fullyunderstanding the costs, and that invoices would be paidAfter AFT attempted to collect the balance due from thecustomer after stating she would pay it, but failed to do soDuring this time, AFT attempted to resolve the concernsthat the customer hadIn the end, the customer paid the balance due on the contract.The customer also states there were numerous instances of poor workmanship that did not adhere to acceptedpracticesDuring the time that AFT was working at the project, the customer did not raise any issues regarding poorworkmanship with AFTIn fact, AFT has documentation showing the customer’s satisfaction with AFT including howpolite, attentive, and courteous the AFT team wasAdditionally, even during the payment dispute, the customer neverraised any issues regarding workmanshipIt was not until the customer’s filing a complaint with the Arizona Registrarof Contractors, nearly eight months after AFT ceased work on the project, and after the customer had several othercontractors working the on the house, that AFT first made aware of the customer’s claim of workmanship issuesAFThas fully cooperated with the ROC during its investigation to support the work that was done and resolve any otherquestions that may existTo date, the customer has not provided access for AFT to do anything it has offered to do toresolve the customer’s complaintsFrom AFT’s perspective, the customer’s complaints are not justified and AFT has“gone above and beyond” for customer service, both during and after the conclusion of the project.Sincerely,A Finer Touch Construction, LLC
