Review: [redacted] gave me the most expensive quote of all 5 contractor that I inquired with. Many was on [redacted] for my area.

They claimed to have the best reputation. I gave them the work based on that reputation.

[redacted] wanted 50% up front in order to buy futures on the asphalt. I gave him a $3000 dollar deposit. [redacted] operated the bulldozer that

damaged my retaining wall while excavating. [redacted] said he will fix it. Now he goes back on his word and make no attempt to repair my wall. He simply told me to sue him. It has been two days since the driveway was paved, numerous puddles appeared. When [redacted] came by for his final payment and I pointed them out to him. To my surprise, he did not stand by his work, and merely said that on the bottom of his contract "Not responsible for standing water when a 2% grade or less is present." He did not proof to me that the drive way is over the 2% grade. He did not even attempt to explain his work me or how the situation could be corrected. [redacted] keep yelling that threaten to sue. He says that he has lawyers on retainer and is going to put a lean on my house. He keep on saying that his work was perfect!

If it was so perfect, why is there so many puddles? If there was challenges, why hasn't he disclose them prior to accepting my $3000 deposit on 3/18/2013?

When they excavate the existing drive way, they move my stone edge alone my drive way. [redacted] and [redacted] both re-asure me that they will do a professional job and reposition the stones before they pave. To my surprised, they never reposition anything. My drive way look like a complete mess. Gagged edge every where. When I confronted [redacted], he said "you pay me to pave, not lining up the stone."

[redacted] threaten to sue me if I don't way. He tells me that he has Lawyers on retainer and he has never loss in court. This statement makes me wonder how many other customers have he bullied and sued over bad work. He was so abusive that my wife had to call the Police.Desired Settlement: Being a true professional perfectionist as [redacted] and [redacted] claims to be, I would expect they would fix the many water puddles on my drive way. Secondly, repave the area that the stones are out of place. Third, repair the damage their bulldozer on my wood retaining wall.

An true licensed professional would attempt to solve the issue and not hiding behind their little disclose on their invoice.

I pay and expect a professional job, not a driveway with numerous puddles when it rains. I expect [redacted] Service (whom happens to do land scape works as well) prep my driveway properly. I expect nothing more than a proper stone edge like the way it was before.
