I had visited this establishment to months ago to inquire about wood burning fireplace insertsThe woman I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable and helpfulI did my research and landed on an insert that this establishment did not carryWhen installing that insert, I discovered I required a specific chimney fittingI remembered from my earlier visit that that this establishment carried that specific brandI paid them another visit to either purchase or order the part from them
When I arrived, I was met at the counter by a *** man with blonde hair and a goateeHis initial greeting was chipper and happyI explained my project and that I required a specific chimney fittingThe man's demeanor changed immediatelyHe became condescending and began asking irrelevant questions to belittle meI asked for a minute alone while I pulled the specific part number up on my phone
I found the part number and went to the back of the store to find the manHe was sitting at a deskI tried to give him the part numberHe ignored my specific request and began asking more irrelevant questionsI knew exactly what I wanted/neededHe was extremely off putting with his attitudeI asked if he carried the brand I neededHe gave me a half hearted answerI decided that I did not want to give him my business and turned around without saying a word and started for the door
As my father and I were walking away, the *** man began berating us, never cursing but yelling at us as we walked awayHe then yelled, "I bet you bought it off the internet!"
To which I replied, "YeahAnd I saved a *** of a lot of money."
Which is only halfway trueI purchased the insert from *** and the liner from another stove store which happened to have and online store as wellAll name brand equipment and all UL listed
My family has spent several thousand dollars in this establishment in recent past, including my fatherI can tell you, I will plead that they never set foot in there againI've never been treated so poorly
It's safe to say that the *** man is the owner or the relative of the owner, because there is no way a proper manger would ever allow his sales employee talk to a customer in that manner and have a job afterwards
