I am rejecting this response because: I already knew the ac had a leak since I just had freon put in a few days before and it leaked out, this is stated on my invoice. I did not insist on using the part I ordered because I asked you how much it would cost for you to repair it.
I took the vehicle in to repair the ac if you put dye in then you should have seen all leaks and as a supposedly qualified mechanic you should have checked the compressor as well.
You said it would cost hundreds and hundreds to have it repaired correctly, why didn't you look the ac unit over correctly the first time then you would have know what needed to be repaired the first time around and I would not have needed to bring it back a second time.
You shop has very incompetent mechanics working apparently. You charged me to add more coolant when I already had a leak that I knew about. If you repaired the leaking hose then why did the coolant leak out the next day.
You charged me to fix my ac and now I don't have ac and I'm still out 251.00. Anyone that says working on ac units is like a crap shoot obviously doesn't know what they are doing. As a mechanic you should know what to check and not guess or say things like this.
Crap shoot apparently that is what your entire shop is because people bring you cars to fix and it's basically luck of the draw if you get it right or not.
I have filed a complaint with the [redacted] office.

This is in response to the customer of his complaint. I explained to him on the phone, that we charged his A/C and inspected it. I further told him, that he had a major leak at the service port, and several other leaks that showed up with the dye inspection. I told the customer, that we would have...
to repair the service port leak first, and charge it back up with dye to pinpoint any additional leaks in the system. I was very clear with the customer on the repair and the price, which he agreed to go ahead with repair. At no time did I tell him this was a complete repair. He was informed that this was only going to stop the leak at the service port, and further help with the diagnose any other leaks. On second inspection of vehicle, the dye revealed that the vehicle had a porous discharge hose as well as a compressor leak. He was not charge for this 2nd inspection! I did not tell him I could not fix the vehicle. I told him that I would not fix his vehicle with customer supplied parts, due to liability and business issues, which he insisted on using. A business can not survive on labor alone. We purchase parts at wholesale and mark up to cost to make further income for our business. That's like asking a restaurant to cook a steak you bring in. It's just not acceptable! As I said before, customer agreed to repair amount, and knew that the vehicle might need more work.
Thank you for your time,
