A. Gareleck & Sons, Inc. Reviews (1)
We hired A Gareleck & Sons to fix a boiler that was leaking oil and they replaced the bearing assembly, gasket and oil on 12/6/11. It took 2 hrs and ten mins but I was charged for 3 hrs labor for a total bill of $434.34. Within a few days it started leaking oil again. We called them back and they said they would come out at no charge for labor or parts to fix the boiler again with a new bearing assembly. We had a time and date set for 12/15/11 at 9 AM. [redacted] the tech called and said he spoke with the boiler manufacturer and the bearing assembly should stop leaking in a couple of weeks and I was advised to give it until after Christmas and call back if it does not stop leaking.
Not only did the boiler continue to leak oil from the same spot but also began leaking water. We called back on the morning of 12/26/11 and scheduled to have [redacted] come back out on 12/27/11 at 9AM and see why it is still leaking. [redacted] called the morning of 12/27/11 at 8:45 AM and said there would be an additional charge for labor of $150.00. We declined to pay anymore money for the service that was not fixed right the first time. They refused to fix the problem until we paid more money. That is why I am filing this complaint and I would like to have my money returned so I can hire a competent company to fix the problem correctly the first time.
I called back to try to speak to the owner but was not able to contact him.
