I would like to voice a complaint on A General Painting. I hired them to Sheetrock my home in Whippany NJ. They were quick to come to give a written invoice and show up on the first day of work to collect deposit. From this point on they came for an hr here and there and 2 months later they have not completed the job. The invoice was to patch concrete in basement and sheet rock homes first level "paint ready". As of today 01.28.14, I still have three walls with no sheet rock and multiple rooms they did not sand, they covered up multiple outlets and the walls they say they completed are waive and must be redone. [redacted] from A general feels the job is complete, he came and took pictures of walls they did not work on. I still have multiple walls with NO sheet rock, on the first level. I have contacted them multiple times and even agreed to pay them a reduced rate in order relieve them of their services and move on to another company. My stipulation on paying a reduce rate was a revised final bill, which as of today I have yet to receive.Desired Settlement: After almost a dozen phone calls requesting a revised bill, I sent an email through their website giving them a weeks' notice to either; supply a revised bill for final payment, complete job to my satisfaction and or agree that they did not satisfy their end of the contract and agree to sever all ties. At this point I have hired another company to complete the job they did not finish, so I do not want them back. What I do want is either a revised bill for a lesser amount at this point should be no more than $700 based on bill to complete their unfinished/poor work or them to remove the construction lien they placed on my property two weeks after my first contact with Revdex.com.
