I am writing to notify the B.B.B of the unprofessional service I had received with A-General Sewer Service. I had A-General Sewer Service come out to snake out my bathroom tub drain. While the employee was upstairs working there was a lot of loud, tool-dropping noises come from the bathroom. After the employee had left and I had had the opportunity to enter my bathroom I immediately saw damage done to my tub. About 2 weeks or so prior to calling A-General to have the drain snaked, I had had a company come in and reglaze my bathtub. Afterwards the tub was never used and no one went near it as we had not moved into the house at that point. The tub now, due to the unprofessional nature in which the A-General employee had worked, has chipped pieces of the newly glazed surface around the drain area which I have had pictures taken of and second professional opinions on. I immediately contacted [redacted] the owner of the business to notify him on what had happened. He was extremely rude and started laughing at me over the phone when I explained that his employee ruined the new finish on my tub while working. I was appalled by the way he handled this matter. I explained that I wanted him to come see for himself. The next day he came by the house to see the damage and after glancing at it remarked that one of his employees would never have done this, but that he would double check and ask, and call me the next business day. Then he remarked that I should just go buy a kit and fix it myself!

I waited a week and never heard from him. I have called and he has not answered my messages. All I asked was of him to fix the damage he had left in the process of violently snaking out the drain. The tub would have to be at least touched up if not refinished all over again and I don't believe that I should have to take my time and money fixing damage that this company caused. I am looking for this matter to be resolved by [redacted] at A-General Sewer Co.Desired Settlement: Tub to be professionally reglazed due to damage.

This complaint come's to me completely unexpected. It is my understanding that we have reached an agreement regarding this issue. I spoke with[redacted], who I believe is Ms. [redacted] husband, sometime close to New Year's Day. I had been awaiting their call regarding a discussion with the glazing professional about a potential repair. That day, I explained that my serviceman had denied that he had caused the scratch in the tub. [redacted] admitted that neither he nor I actually knew how the scratch had happened, or who did it. My serviceman was not the last person to be in that bathroom, before Ms.[redacted] or [redacted] came home and saw the scratch. I explained to [redacted] that I would advise using the professional that he had originally had used, and was happy with, to repair the scratch. I also offered I would pay half of the cost to repair the scratch. I told [redacted] that once the repair was completed, to send me a copy of the bill from the repair. I promised him that I would send him a check for half of the amount of the bill. He agreed to this arrangement. He informed me that the glazing professional would be doing the repair at a time in the near future when it would be convenient so that he would not have to charge for travel to South River.[redacted] stated that he was okay with that arrangement. I am awaiting the copy of the invoice.
