[redacted], owner of AH Graphic Arts & Sign walked in our agency on August 2, 2011, unsollicited, and offered to finish the work on our business sign. ** told us that his company had made the signs for businesses accross the street and next door to us. Our sign needed to be cut lower, new light bulbs with a switch, a paint job. ** charged $1,767.13. He explained that he would get the job done in 3 weeks from the date on the contract 10/18/2011. ** was given a check for $1,675.00 on October 21, 2011. A month later ** had not done the job and asked for more money. He was given a check $357.00 on November 11, 2011 he needed to pay the city for the sign fee. We called ** many times and waited over one year for him to finish the job. He charged another fee to put a skirt and we gave a check for $500.00 on December 9. 2011 and no skirt was installed. We struggled every step of the way to get him to come start the job, cut down the sign, then many more months to come paint the posts. Nothing else is finished although we already paid [redacted] for everything. Each time we contacted him, he would give us excuses why he could not come to finish the job. He would always say I will be right there and would not show up. This happened over and over. Our business has paid for a job that is not done and we lost money by losing apportunity to use the sign to advertize our services.
