[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
1 - I was never informed that the cabinet bases were not attached and shipped loose until "after" I received the cabinets and inquired about them being loose.
2 – The cabinets are designed to be installed in a very specific arrangement (see the design plan) so “reversible” is irrelevant.
3 – They had the height of the ceiling measured twice, once by me and once by them so they would have known if the overall cabinet height was an issue or not.
4 - The document that Century Kitchens sent you with my signature was falsified.  They added two pages that are NOT in my copy.  The two pages are the cabinet specification sheets. Maybe this was an honest mistake, but it is misleading you to believe it was included and that I was informed (which I was not).
5 – The only reason I was put in touch with the service department was due to a totally separate issue and nothing to do with this claim.  That issue was due to another cabinet that was received damaged.  It took many attempts to resolve with the Salesperson but I finally was given a name and phone number for the Warranty department after I threatened legal action.  To-date, the warranty department has assured me that that issue will be resolved to my satisfaction.  However, if they do not, I will be filing another claim with the Revdex.com and possibly contacting legal council.
6 – It is clear to me that they are covering up the fact that I was not informed of the loose parts. Had I known they were loose, maybe we could have worked something out or maybe I would not have purchased them.  We will never know.
7 - The bottom line here is that I was not informed these two cabinets were shipped unassembled until after they were received and now I am stuck having to “assemble” the cabinets before I “install” them, clear distinction in terms here.  If for some reason I do not assemble these correctly and there is an issue due to “my assembly”, then there can be no warranty claim down the road.  I think the “owner” of the company should be allowed to hear about these issues and maybe they would even want to hear about them so they can address the issue themselves if needed and possibly even change the policy of shipping “unassembled” cabinets.

4/10/2015Dear [redacted],I received notice of a complaint filed by [redacted] regarding his kitchen purchase from Century Kitchens. Our salesperson has been in contact with [redacted] multiple times and has always tried to be courteous and accommodating answering his questions about...

installation and service. When he did not like the answers he was given, he called our office on April 7th and demanded to talk to the owner. Here at Century, we have many layers of management and support staff that deal with problems of this nature. As I tried to explain this to [redacted], he threatened to call the Revdex.com if he was not put in touch directly with the owner. That is not how Century Kitchens does business. I took [redacted]'s name and phone number and promised to look into the matter and someone from Century would get back to him.I then reviewed the issue at hand with his salesperson that has all of his information related to his kitchen purchase. The 2 cabinets that [redacted] is considering “disassembled” never come with the bottom toe kick installed. It is shipped loose with the cabinets which is noted in our on-line spec book. This was the [redacted] which is a 90 inch high utility cabinet, and the [redacted] which is an angled base cabinet. The utility cabinet is very tall and sometimes the height of the ceiling and doorways can cause a problem, therefore the toe kick is shipped loose and added at the time of installation. The angled cabinet can be inverted, or flipped, to be used in different kitchen layouts. Again, the toe kick is shipped loose and attached at the time of installation. The salesperson explained this to [redacted], and went over those reasons.Century does not install kitchens purchased from our company. This is clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions of Sales Agreement that [redacted] signed at the time of his kitchen purchase. I explained to [redacted], as did his salesperson, that many of our customers who are not comfortable installing their own kitchen attain the services of a qualified contractor that is familiar with the kitchen installation process. Many times, we even recommend an installer that the customer can hire at their own expense. [redacted] was not interested in hiring a contractor, and informed me that he would be doing his own kitchen installation. On April 9th, [redacted] met with his salesperson here in our Colmar showroom, and we thought that all questions and concerns had been addressed. When [redacted] was still not satisfied, we referred him to our service department manager who is highly skilled and knowledgeable regarding kitchen installations. Our service manager left 2 voice messages for [redacted] to return his calls if he had any further questions or concerns regarding the upcoming installation of his kitchen that he decided to handle on his own. Since then, our service manager has been in contact with [redacted] to answer some questions related to his kitchen installation.Century prides itself on offering quality products sold by knowledgeable, attentive salespeople. We feel we have addressed [redacted]'s concerns and have given him the opportunity to speak to not only our sales staff, but also our skilled service manager who are fully qualified to handle these concerns. Please find attached a copy of [redacted]'s order, pages of our spec book showing the cabinets in question noting the toe kicks shipped loose, and signed copies of the terms and conditions showing installation not included.Thank you for the opportunity to respond to [redacted]'s complaint.Lori CFinancial Manager
