On April 15, 2011, we went into contract with Home Craft Remodeling which included new interior doors, new tile floors and new cabinet doors and drawers. The job was quoted as being completed within 3 months. The job was finally completed by June 5, 2012. The contract states we have a three year warranty. We experienced issues along the way, and [redacted], the owner, assured us if we had any problems he would take care of them. One of the issues was with the grout. When the grout dried it was very inconsistent, so they used a grout colorant to fix the issue. [redacted] told us, and I have an email, that he would be happy to clean all the grout and reseal it for us. One of the other issues that was a major concern was the cabinet doors. The doors should have come from the manufacturer unstained, but they came in stained and not close to the stain color we approved. After sanding and re-staining at least 3-4 times, the color was as close as they could get, so we signed off. I had concerns with the fact that the doors and drawer fronts had been sanded and stained so many times. [redacted] assured us if we had a problem, he would take care of it.
I began emailing [redacted] on January 7, 2014, to see if he would still honor cleaning and resealing all the floors and shower. On January 14th, he responded to my email that he would take care of it for us. After that email I sent one about every week, but didn’t receive responses. I also called once or twice a week and left voice mails. We happened to run into [redacted] at a Home and Garden show and confronted him. He finally came out and took pictures and said he would be back in contact. I was able to reach him by phone a couple of weeks ago and he said he would call me the next day, but hasn’t called since. I have left several messages and sent emails every few days since.
Last week, while wiping the cabinets down, I noticed one door has cracking in the finish, so we examined all the door/drawer fronts. The surface on our face frame below our kitchen sink is peeling. I called [redacted] on March 19 and 21, and followed up with emails regarding the cabinets. We have not received a call or email in response.
