Stuffers To Every Accessible Eve – 12/28 ISSUE We never received chance to resolve or even proof if needed as stated in her letter. Customer Stated In A Letter :After you left, my building contractor proceeded with my home remodeling. When they removed the soffits they discovered the chutes and insulation were stuffed way too far into the attic edge. Many chutes were damaged and less than 6 areas of true airflow existed in my entire attic. They had to correct all your work so my home and attic could breathe the way it’s supposed to. Your careless workmanship blocked all necessary ventilation. We also discovered that you used cardboard for many soffit chutes, many of which just fell out when the old soffits were removed.Vent Kitchen Fan Through Attic and 2 new Bath Fans Ducted: - CompletedAir Seal All Penetrations Into Home With 1 Part Gun Foam: - CompletedBlow an R60 Loose Fill into House Attic: - CompletedRemove and Dispose of Drop Soffit In Kitchen: - CompletedPatch Repair and Replace Dry[redacted] As Needed: -  6/19 ISSUE RESOLVED – She was not happy with Our Dry[redacted] Finish – We paid someone she recommended to finish, We called and contracted them for $1380. There is a audit that was needed to be performed for her to receive incentives. All of our communication by email from Mrs. [redacted] did not state she had other concerns so the audit was performed. This is were we received a email from auditor 8/16 that there were a few concerns two types of tape and some gaps that needed to be foamed and taped and some edges that needed to be taped. It was stated that  Mrs. [redacted] was not wanting us to come out and finish she would have her roofer do. We also received our 9/20 from [redacted] proving we passed the air infiltration. We received a email to pick up refrigerator, but never any complaint till December 28ththis letter is a breach of contract letter and demands a payment of $9800 to finish or fix issues. Our total contract was $6173. Of which she received a discount of $3086.50 ( Reimbursement for Fridge and Stove $2767.21and also $151.93 for putting plastic on her car and it supposedly left spots on the car. $167.36 extra.)Her Letter on the 28th of DecemberThere was mention of Bait and Switch – this was not ever an intent but that we were using the term loosely as Thermax when we always use Hunter XCI but in the industry it is a foam board ( we have changed our practices since) and when Mrs [redacted] first questioned as we have in her emails that she seemed fine with continuing as we stated this is what we buy at bulk when true Thermax is much harder to keep on hand. She stated that our [redacted] said its because its cheaper which may have been stated and is true we can buy Hunter XDI in bulk cheaper were it is much harder to purchase True Thermax in bulk regularly. ( Example: When buying Kleenex do you go buy Kleenex or anther similar tissue brand)She has stated that we had left without correcting any problems and we would disagree 100% with that statement we have always been willing to resolve - There may have been some issues to resolve after audit but we have not been given an opportunity to resolve. And she stated there was another issue and before we could even see or resolve she had her contractor do.He do admit it has been hard to meet the demands of Mrs [redacted] but are willing and have always been willing to.Being newer to the insulation industry we had been some procedures with labels and customer notifications that we were ignorant of that Mrs [redacted] has shared with us and we are very thankful for that and feel we have those all worked out going forward. We have offered her $1500 through our lawyer, to satisfy the work that the auditor stated and the alleged over stuffed chutes. We feel this is more than fair.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This company doesn't know how to properly do the work they claim to be experts at. They advertise as professionals. Professionals do not have to rely on customers to inspect and educate themselves on the work they hire "experts" to complete. The [redacted] did not inspect the attic after the soffit chutes and insulation were stuffed and crushed into the soffits. I wasn't about to crawl up there and approve that work. The [redacted] could have easily inspected that work or even go outside and lift the soffits to inspect what was done. Why would I want them back to fix anything when they don't know how to do the work the first time? I have attached photos of the crushed soffit chutes and stuffed insulation that blocked airflow to my attic along with a photo of the corrected work done by my home contractor. The latter did a perfect job and knows how a house and attic should breathe. A+ Home Services wouldn't have a clue on how to fix it because if they knew and still went ahead and crushed the chutes then that accurately reflects the way they do business. And, I was never told about substituting cardboard for the soffit chutes ... another example of bait and switch. The drywall issue was resolved because professionals fixed their horrible work. The guys that fixed the mess even commented on how awful it was and that he's never had to use so much mud to straighten the walls. The professional crew from another company did an excellent job and I didn't have to watch everything they did.I still have not received the required paperwork regarding installed insulation. I will proceed with filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding their failure to comply with the Home Insulation Rule 460. They are in the insulation business and do not know this?!In the end, the basement insulation board was still not installed properly, even after I complained the boards were not adhered. They accused me of lying about the boards not being adhered until I made a YouTube video to prove it. After I asked them to tell me how many tubes of adhesive the guys used and found out they used zero tubes was any apology offered. I had to argue with them about it. The money I am asking for requires all the boards to be removed and installed properly, using the proper materials and manufacturer's requirements. Any contract should list the exact materials used. If they were going to use Thermax then the contract should state as such. A customer should know exactly what they are getting. Just like switching to the cheap vinyl tape without telling me and hoping I wouldn't notice. Very unprofessional, dishonest and knowingly rips off customers. They can't tell me they didn't know they switched to a cheaper tape. What about smashing my brand new dryer vent, not telling me about it and then said they're not going to replace it? I have photos of how they left it. For them to say they disagree 100% on resolving issues is a joke. I put up signs in the basement that were totally ignored. The [redacted] told me "he's done" and then left the messes for me to clean up and get done properly. My "demands" are the result of correcting their horrible workmanship. All customers should demand and expect perfect results from businesses that claim to be experts and professionals. They have been provided with a quote from a reputable contractor to redo the basement panels and for the work done to properly ventilate my home. It is far from the $1,500 offered. I have not received any communication regarding this offer from their lawyer.
Regards,
Jill [redacted]
